when this game goes free in EU in february i predict there will be a big spike in players but thats not to say that will save the game from ultimately failing but if you look at all the latest mmos going to F2P model and being quite succesfull at it like LOTRO and DDO i can safely say that this might get a spike

This game had lots of petential. I laugh at the two top comments, the only thing that will kill guild wars 1 is guild wars 2. For the record your comparing a 2009 game or whatever against two games back from 2004 and 2005. Guild wars isn't a mmo it's a coorpg. The game is growing everyday and isn't dieing. Don't believe me check their site, and for WoW destroys guild wars, Guild wars 2 destroys both WoW and Aion. Just check it out.

vanilla guild wars was the best mmo experience that i have ever had, once factions came along it died.

lots of ppls playing WoW cuz it has a nice gameplay and you dont need a good pc to play it. tho WoW wil be history because of the bad graphics.

Well yeah... guild wars is terrible, and W.O.W is just old/UGLY, and was out dated with graphics the first day it came out, W.O.W has no content, once you get your full season 3 shoulders, there's nothing to do but pvp over and over in the same 3 bg's that have been out for 3 years, well aside from EOTS which is .. horrid. So with that said, this is a W.O.W killer (I pray) and W.O.W destroys guild wars.

there will probably come some WoW people to AION...i don't really see the problem there tho. anyway, pwncaptain was only talking about PvP, but thats not all there's to WoW...even if you only play PvP, there's also arena ^^ but i guess he hasn't really played WoW for a long time.

Is two yeara ebough?? started before TBC was lvl 60 a while before tbc, bought the expansion when it came out, lvled to 70 very slow (that means i really experianced the game and didnt just go lvl up all the time) and made my own pvp video. Even had my own arena team with my friend.

WoW was a good game.. it WAS but no longer. All the new gears and epic stuffs has gone too far. The TBC was cool and new but Wotlk was nothing new.. just repeatable shit.

The golden years of WoW is over...
