I was in Ireland in 1997, and caught ep 537. (Glad it wasn't 536). That episode had the gate slam left in. I was always under the impression that ITV left them in. Can't understand the point of cutting them?

It appears Ch 5'#s were not the only episodes to have gate slams cut out.

UTV only sometimes cut the end gateslams. The UTV version of this episode has the end gateslam missing as well.

UTV rarely cut any scenes from the show and they screened the end gateslam when they started to appear late in the series (as they never used them in early episodes)

The end of 532 was uncut. The end of 533 was cut. The end of 534 was cut. The end of 535 was cut. The end of 536 was cut.
