I can't even express how saddened I am that I will never see this. I was born in 86 and was never a DRGW fan until the past few years. This is a epic as railroading gets in my opinion. I'm glad that UP still operates these route but I hate them as a company. Too big and they've stripped away the identity of railroads they've swallowed up. RIP Denver & Rio Grande Western.

cool to see this video of a mostly rural Castle Rock at the time. This area is pretty built up now. Too bad the Rio Grande is gone. I still occasionally see their locomotives with UP stencils.

the SD40T-2's on the Rio Grande i believe were equppied with Mars lights on their noses
