New ships, that now serve B.C.'s North Coast have huge shoes to fill with the retirement of the 'steady-eddy' of the fleet, lovingly referred to as The Rupert. Hundreds of staff who became proud crew members of the QPR provided dependable service for residents of the local communities she served, but also offered a memorable sea going voyage for millions of tourists for 46years!
Fun to hear this salute! The Queen of Prince Rupert was the first BC Ferry I rode back in the summer of '71! Sounds like a DeHaviland Beaver droning overhead at the end...
