this probly on of my favorite leader class figure besides dotm sentinal rotf optimus prime and movie brawl also are there any mechtech point on his back kibble because i got two voyager ironhide for the cannon so i can put it on leader class ironhide back like in the movie i also got voyager sentinal for his rust cannon
I just got mine the other day. I'm not a huge huge fan of the overall movie aesthetic, but I do own the movie toys that I really like. I was on the fence about getting a DOTM leader. Ironhide seemed to have wonderful reviews. I got it on sale and with a coupon. Saved $15. I didn't particularly care for the electronics. The batteries seem to add a lot of weight.
The head on mine came glued too. For those of you with that problem, some careful prying with an exacto knife will loosen it.
I got mine. I think the batch most of us have is a sort of a Preview version. Quality issuses run amok. Everything from joint problems, unpainted face, glued head, and even a melted mold on the chest canopy. I hope when it hits proper retail it will be better. I'm watching the fansites (TFW2005, especially) when it hits the stores for any improvements on the mold before getting a retail version of it. But yes, he is awesome!

Whats your thoughts when ironhide was killed? for me it was a lame move from michael bay, atleast he should have gave him honor, or the autobots saying something to him or what. but NO, nothing hapend. it was just like he was an ordinary autobot.. I was so pissed at michael bay

It pissed me off..But thats what it was supposed to do. I do agree that there should have been more Autobot/Nest emotion..but considering there was so much happening,I'm not sure there would have been enough time to mention it. Remember..there wasn't much said when Optimus died in ROTF

I agree, I do like it but not as much as this one, just because of the cool gimmicks. Nakita ko na yung review mo dude, nag-comment pa nga ata ako. I might still get Sentinel Prime though for my baby nephew 'cause he loves fire trucks or anything big that moves, Hehe.

sadly. i still have a 15 minute cap. if i do this in one take, it'll be over 20 minutes. and no one wants to see that right ? the Philippines, where i live, is not part of google's list of countries eligible for google youtube partnership. so there.
@fxfranz You say that but there's still no difference between a +20min video or two to three 10min videos. At the day the viewer is still putting in the same about of time invested. As for the YouTube partnership, I didn't realize that they don't offer it in the Philippines, but I know that you don't have to be a partner to have the cap lifted.

Cool vid man !! This is a pretty cool Ironhide with only a few design flaws. Looks great in a display with the ROTF Human Alliance figures (Jazz, Skids, Mudflap, BB, etc). He also looks pretty cool with the DOTM Human Alliance figures as well, especially Backfire (thanks Peaugh) !! Despite the design flaws (glued head/wrists) a nice addition to any Transfan's collection :D
Fantastic Bot mode that's probably the best representation of him but I can't get over the problems in Vehicle mode...If he could cover his legs a bit more he'd be up there with Sentinel and ROTF Prime in terms of quality, but urgh. I really like the bot mode and gimmicks but out of all the DOTM Leaders so far Ironhide is the weakest due to altmode. I may try to pick him up on sale because of it.
@fxfranz It's the back of the truck that kills it for me. Every other Leader does a good job of hiding the bot in alt mode and Ironhide is ugh. It bothers me a lot. BB to me isn't the greatest but it's a good representation of his DOTM CGI Model imo and having no electronics benefits it for me. Leader Ironhide is gimmicky (in a good way) and is fairly accurate to his CGI model but it's the legs in alt mode that kill it. Plus the scale but mostly those legs. Different strokes for different folks?

I hate the fact he's a Leader. If he was Voyager, I'd probably have gotten it already, but he's just too big! It won't fit in scale with the rest of my guys, and I don't collect HA.
a figure doesn't have to be in scale with others for it to be great. just look at bb--so much classes. and legends/legion class figures. some are really great, despite the lack of scale

Your Ironhide hip joints also appear to be loose. That is my only complaint of the figure is that it has some loose joints.

I agree, I do like it but not as much as this one, just because of the cool gimmicks. Nakita ko na yung review mo dude, nag-comment pa nga ata ako. I might still get Sentinel Prime though for my baby nephew 'cause he loves fire trucks or anything big that moves, Hehe.

Out of curiosity, why don't you just do longer reviews? I'm sure you've been on YouTube long enough to have the 15min ban lifted from your account. Or are you just looking to have a higher video count in general?

sadly. i still have a 15 minute cap. if i do this in one take, it'll be over 20 minutes. and no one wants to see that right ? the Philippines, where i live, is not part of google's list of countries eligible for google youtube partnership. so there.

@fxfranz You say that but there's still no difference between a +20min video or two to three 10min videos. At the day the viewer is still putting in the same about of time invested. As for the YouTube partnership, I didn't realize that they don't offer it in the Philippines, but I know that you don't have to be a partner to have the cap lifted.

Cool vid man !! This is a pretty cool Ironhide with only a few design flaws. Looks great in a display with the ROTF Human Alliance figures (Jazz, Skids, Mudflap, BB, etc). He also looks pretty cool with the DOTM Human Alliance figures as well, especially Backfire (thanks Peaugh) !! Despite the design flaws (glued head/wrists) a nice addition to any Transfan's collection :D

yup. the head on my figure isn't glued. and the non-moving wrists are fine since the forearms swivel anyway. and i don't really like parallel joints.

Fantastic Bot mode that's probably the best representation of him but I can't get over the problems in Vehicle mode...If he could cover his legs a bit more he'd be up there with Sentinel and ROTF Prime in terms of quality, but urgh. I really like the bot mode and gimmicks but out of all the DOTM Leaders so far Ironhide is the weakest due to altmode. I may try to pick him up on sale because of it.

@fxfranz It's the back of the truck that kills it for me. Every other Leader does a good job of hiding the bot in alt mode and Ironhide is ugh. It bothers me a lot. BB to me isn't the greatest but it's a good representation of his DOTM CGI Model imo and having no electronics benefits it for me. Leader Ironhide is gimmicky (in a good way) and is fairly accurate to his CGI model but it's the legs in alt mode that kill it. Plus the scale but mostly those legs. Different strokes for different folks?

Nice Review Franz!! I like this figure as well. Dont have any of the DOFM figures yet but will be getting those as well when i get a chance. Just picked up RTS autobot mindset. Awesome figure too!. I dont have a video cam yet so thats why i havent done any reviews on TFs that i got.

Nung una, gusto kong kunin yung Leader Class Sentinel Prime when I watched Peaugh's review of it. Pero 'nung nakita ko 'yung Ironhide review niya, kinalimutan ko na si Sentinel Prime at na-focus na lang ako kay Ironhide, hehe. Good job sa review.

I don't think bumblebee and Ironhide needed leader class figures, they wasted the spot. Megatron and shockwave should of gotten leader class.

I hate the fact he's a Leader. If he was Voyager, I'd probably have gotten it already, but he's just too big! It won't fit in scale with the rest of my guys, and I don't collect HA.

a figure doesn't have to be in scale with others for it to be great. just look at bb--so much classes. and legends/legion class figures. some are really great, despite the lack of scale

at lalo ka pa maiinis pag ibinaba pa nila sa 1k petot ang LC Starscream. Well the sales clerk said that there's a good chance they'll (SM) reduce it furthermore because there were lots of them in their stock room. But I can't wait anymore :D
