Saturns are cheap, you can find them everywhere, but since everyone wants a honda, they are expensive to find, and if you get a cheap one, it will have a lot of problems.
Whats done to your exhaust? I like how yours sounds kind of like a subaru. I myself have a turbo saturn but doesnt sound anywhere as good as yours. If anything mines sounds like an N/A with bolt ons but without the rasp.
I have a 95SW2 with a T3 running between 8-12 psi minor mods i found a low mileage out of a totaled 01 twin cam i used the bottom end (stronger block ) stock crank/rods forged low compression pistons stock head just Pand P, fuel pump/injector and regulator increased,and "POWER MODULE" OBD1 program (MAPPED) and dyno tuned all mods under 2,500.... 237@6200 rpm/ 196 lb-ft@ 2150, MY " PLASTIC TORPEDO" weighs 2,436 with me.. sleepers unite!!!
@weapondragon You don't have to rebuild the motor but you will need bigger injectors. If you are only running about 5 lbs of boost you don't need to rebuild, but anything above that you really should becuase of the higher combustion temps. Also get better rings, as the stock ones have so much blow by.
not to fast but you wouldn't expect too much from a bolt on turbo on a saturn with 141k miles on it ... however nice work seems to run really well after the mods
I have the exact same car... just with the stock alloy wheels (and no turbo). I don't particularly care for the performance, but I've had the thing since 1999 and it WILL NOT DIE!! I've been trying to drive it into the ground so I can get a new car already (I refuse to have a payment when I still have a car I own outright), and I'm up to 300K+ miles, and aside from the exhaust getting a little louder, it's still like the day I bought it!
i have a old ass shit 94 saturn sl2 just like this one but my car is ugly with missin body parts the mother fucker barely turns on and its still fast ass shit i love my car.
and i raced a stock honda accord on a stock tahoe and whooped it so honda sucks ass !
My stock '92 was good for 125. I sure loved that car. Sold it about 6 years ago and the guy that bought it is still driving it. Kids were getting too big for the back seat.
its funny people don't know shit about a Saturn, saying it's a crap car, even though it's about as quick as a stock honda civic stock and actually has a really nice getup speed with a cold air intake, and it had great room for turbo/supercharger..just a random thought
@SI1SHAD hey man my brother had 2 hes still has the one but his last on he put 250,000 miles on it and barley changed the oil and it never had a trany oil change it still ran when we sold it but that was one reliable car and so is the one he has now. its too bad GM dropped off saturn.

@Crazybuickdriver Yeah, the SOHC is too sluggish, don't bother putting a turbo on it. On the flipside, that engine (SOHC) is fuel economic and virtually indestructible. Drove it many times not knowing there was an oil leak ;). Lasted years.
So cheap to fix and run I really loved Saturn. Gave a direct feel/sound of the road, you'd always feel like you were driving fast. The paint jobs last and last and body never rust. Don't know why the other car manufacturers haven't learned from them.

Bought it 4yrs ago for $400 and spent less then that period sense (well $300 tag,insurance) but you figure $700 and maybe $100 in parts for a daily driver w/heat and air and all power options work. FIND THAT IN A CAR MADE TODAY. SATURN BABY! LOL!
@CPTcluch an air intake will help. There's really no tune chip. You can find some Cam's for them that will help, but running juice or boost are your best bets. You will need a fuel management system for the car though.
Alright I'll give it to you man... This Saturn doesn't look that bad at all. Minus the stupid dash mounted gauges, it's a pretty decent looking sleeper. One thumb up!
stock motor? or did you rebuilt it? did you use studs on the connecting rods and cylinder head? Was that the OBX headers from ebay with t3 flange, because i noticed you have an internal wastegate.

However i refuse to spend money on making this car fast because of how common it is for the differential pin to shoot out of the side of the transmission. And i don't feel like pulling the whole motor and transmission to weld it in place. did you weld your diff pin in place?

These were only manifold cars, they never came factory with true headers. But you could have had a decent no-name set? I picked up some headers for a B18A1 swapped CRX Si I had once. Got them from the junkyard, had no name at all, not even embossed. So I threw them on, and got INSTANT low end increase by about probably 10 ft. lbs. tq. in between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm. And it loved to rev, too... lol, all the way to 9,300, haha!

Wow i came across a turbo saturn in my 07 Speed 3 and it nearly kept up! Pretty sure it had more hp then my 300whp but it couldn't get traction for shit! even when he dropped it into gear at 30 he'd still peel out then nearly catch up by 60!

@bomexsaturn Only thing I don't like about these cars are the narrow stock rims and the soft suspension. hitting uneven pavement while turning throws the car out of line, even at legal speeds. I'll have to beef it up before I can rally it lol

Needs to be dropped 2 inches all the way around, anti-sway bars, strut bars, Bilstein shocks and springs, and then you'll be mobbing.

my friend has a satty with the flip up head lights and with the black emblems and factory true hedders me and him has completely rebuilt the internals and we are currently adding a vortech s/c and are you running any fans....cause i didnt see any unless you have a pusher elec fan..btw nice car.

These were only manifold cars, they never came factory with true headers. But you could have had a decent no-name set? I picked up some headers for a B18A1 swapped CRX Si I had once. Got them from the junkyard, had no name at all, not even embossed. So I threw them on, and got INSTANT low end increase by about probably 10 ft. lbs. tq. in between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm. And it loved to rev, too... lol, all the way to 9,300, haha!

Man nice car i got a 99 SL2 with 276,000 Km 171,000 miles and it still beats my friends honda civic I love theses cars. Quick Q what make are your rims and what suspension company did u use?

Wow!!! I just bought a standard SL2. I have been looking for ideas on the net for modifications. I'm glad to see a turbo does good. I can't wait to see the more mod's you put on it.

Wow i came across a turbo saturn in my 07 Speed 3 and it nearly kept up! Pretty sure it had more hp then my 300whp but it couldn't get traction for shit! even when he dropped it into gear at 30 he'd still peel out then nearly catch up by 60!

@bomexsaturn Only thing I don't like about these cars are the narrow stock rims and the soft suspension. hitting uneven pavement while turning throws the car out of line, even at legal speeds. I'll have to beef it up before I can rally it lol

yeah but that would help people think he is a ricer, most people would not even think about giving it a second look, if you were smart you would look at how the car sits, and of course the big intercooler on the front!! =P lol. but man a turbo'd satty are fast anybody who thinks otherwise is a moron

aight you said "if you were smart" imma take that as an insult. First, "FAST SATTY's" are un-comon, therefore thats why i lol'd at the whole thing. Second, Having a intercooler doesn't mean your car is "FAST" if YOU were smart you would understand that. Then last. Just how a car sits doesn't mean its fast, if YOU were smart you would know that.
One more thing, did i ever say it wasn't fast in my other comment?? No i don't think so.

It gets about the same, averaged 22mpg but got 32-35mpg on a 15 hour trip with the car.
