  • This test is like saying "The bloke who had 20 shots of Absinthe will be more drunk than the bloke who had a glass of 'Lemon Lime and Bitters'...."

Of course the modified Triton will be more capable off road.

  • LSD are not useless offroad at all, pretty sure my SWB GQ with 2 inch body lift and 33s still used to annilliate my mates patrol with front locker 6inch lift and 35s,.

  • the rear wheel diff is sooooo low

  • The ARB rocks...Does it have traction?

  • i dont think its gud when promoting a vehicle to actually point out some of the disadvantages and specifically point out the need to add this, buy this, put this one on... all the accessories... ect

  • @rustyrulze they are not advertising the car they are advertising ARB gear

  • @246dc642 yeah good point, not everyone does 4wding like this

  • so.... they are a compromise to be owned by an average bloke who will THEN clap his hands put a fucking smile on his face and go and throw next 10k worth of fucking ARB shit to fit out his ute! what a crock of shit, wake the fuck up dildo boy. forget new utes with shitloads of accessories, get yourself a bush basher that will take u further then these plastic cans. cheeryo everyone

ps: i fucking hate dumb advertising on free internet sites

  • Hey now... Not all of us have the option of buying a turbo diesel 70 series Cruiser... but I get what your saying

  • i agree , i hate the way most cars have turned out to be today, all this new shit makes it really complex to perform simple maintenance, even the mechanics hate it... ridiculous

  • ure a stupid ass

  • @hzj79 you are a asswhole. plastic cans? check out a crash test video or two between an old hzj vs a plastic can an see which one would keep you alive. but in hindsight, do everyone a favour and dont concern yourself with safety. it would be one less tool on the roads

  • the suspention on the stock one is made for both uses, on and offroad... u can see that the ARB suspention in way harder, it gives the driver more control offroading but if u're gonna drive this pickup in the city the original suspention in way more confortable.

  • Please consider this 4WD Action comparison to be an ADVERTORIAL. ARB gear is good.....but the stocker was driven up the difficult line and probably only with an LSD or the factory locker turned off, the ARB Triton had its locker on. Thanks for doing a story on a ute featuring something other than the Hilux or Navara, but it was poor comparison guys....use identical lines next time!

  • @FreestyleCab despite it being an 'advert' like he says - i know which one i'd rather be driving - if you cant tell the difference - maybe stick to gravel roads max

  • @FreestyleCab Rubbish mate, I put a 2" ARB OME lift on my Challenger and the difference off road is phenomenal.

LSD is useless offroad, same with traction control. Electronic or Air Lockers all the way!

  • Yes, and that front angle thing, the "stock" triton has some kind of light bar there wich makes the angle worse.

In 1:43 - 1:45, the ARB version drives right line, where the stock is driven in a hole, probably it was meaning of that trick to get it stuck, it would also do that thing as easy as the ARB if they had drived it by same line.

  • all those aftermarket accesories are good if your constantly driving in conditions like those but the stock ute can still get through all the same things as the decked out one but it would take more effort
