  • I bet this wood is worst then pine.

  • if i'm not mistaken this so-called supertree is genetically modified. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. as far as I know, it's bad for food. incredibly large plantation, though. I'd like to have one too!

  • @jhoviillee ,,food ? its not food,,but for constructions of houses,,? sorry if i get you wronge.. now a days it is very good busines,, harvesting of trees is good for comecial use because with this, we can safe over natural forests for wild aminals..

  • mind blown.

  • That's just incredible.

  • The great thing about these supertrees is that they absorb CO2 faster than regular trees. So making paper from these tree farms is actually better for the environment than recycling paper!

  • i dont get that comment... dont we want co2 to be absorbed from tree's alot faster then they actually r?

  • Well, yes. It's a good thing for the global warming problem in that it takes some CO2 out of the air. trees absorb it as they grow, and these can grow twice as fast.

It's a little known fact that recycling paper is an energy-intensive industrial process that is worse for the environment than throwing it away and making new paper with new trees.

  • oh! i get it now thx :)

  • not true actually - recycled paper requires far fewer enzymes and processing than solid woodchips..

  • Dude thats awesome
