This footage is from the RAI live television broadcast from Turin, which MTV used as a live link for the awards show.
Ciao Italia was edited from 2 nights in Turin, which is why this version of Causing A Commotion is slightly different.
Incidentally, here in the UK, VH1 used to broadcast an edited Ciao Italia, however, I always noticed that the last part of Live To Tell going into Into The Groove was filmed from a different angle to both the Ciao Italia video and the RAI tv broadcast. Strange

I see you guys are getting a little bit confused, so Im gonna explain it better.
This video was broadcast live from a concert, in Italy, but its not the concert we can watch on the official DVD.
I don't know exactly where she was singing in this video, but its not the same as in the DVD.
While she was in the concert, the world could see her on MTV.
Do you understand now? :)

@henriquembrazil It's the same performance as on the Ciao Italy DVD, but I think they did some edits for the release. This is more "live".

I always get confused cos in the Ciao Italia dvd she says " I know Italia has the moves" however this version she says Turin (obviously in Italy) but its pretty much the dvd version...tricky!

@Patricia59208 Basically, Madonna wasn't at the VMAs but they were recording and had a live cam and broadcasted this performance.. she wasn't actually there, she was doing a show.
