I've never understood the concept of placing the injectors outside of the throttle body. Anyone that can enlighten me? I mean, blocking the injected fuel can not be good? I'm sure there's some benefit of doing this but i just can't find it..
Injector placement has alot to do with your powerband. Closer gives you better low end torque Further away is better for high end . With this engine the slide throttle body doesn't really allow for in housing injector placement. So placing them upstream is most likely out of necessity.
peripheral port can make crazy NA power too bad it idles at 2000rpm most of the time, it seems slow for how high he's revving when leaving but its just that POS high geared tranny, get a clutchless liberty on this

@heith85 It's a slide throttle. You can get a good idea of how they work at around the :40 mark. It's basically a flat plate with a hole in it, the plate goes between the air inlet and the intake port, the plate is pulled in one direction when the throttle is depressed, bringing the hole in line with the intake runner allowing air into the engine.

Actually, the 787b's 26b engine was more reliable than any of the competition (engine was filmed being taken apart, showing very little wear). Piston engines made for racing require rebuilds after each race. They had to cap the power at 700hp@9000rpm to keep from destroying transmissions due to being very close to or at redline for long periods. The original spec was 930hp@10,500rpm

It comes from the crazy "cam" for lack of a better term lol.
The port job performed pretty much acts as a huge cam; allowing air in earlier in the intake and holding it open longer, same goes for the exhaust

The port job performed pretty much acts as a huge cam; allowing air in earlier in the intake and holding it open longer, same goes for the exhaust

The 20b came stock in the Eunos Cosmo... Just google 20b. It is an expensive conversion.

True , but he's respectful . You have to know them to own one . Not like any typical Honda guy that swaps a 16b in a civic and that's it . I still think that pistons are better (cost and performance wise ) nothing like a good ol VRT , cheap to build to 500hp , really tuff engine and wicked sound .

The rotary sees production in ONLY ONE CAR which has an average production quantity compared to every other car from every other manufacturer. Even Mazda knows better than to use the rotary engine in more than one of its cars. If the engine was actually any good they would use it in all of their cars.

@aji8 Its actually a great type of engine its just prone to problems if the fuck-tard driving it treats it like a shitty piston engine or puts a turbo and doesnt port it or tune it right. As well mazda leaves the rotary out because they use it only in their high performance series "RX".... Which stands for Rotary Experiment hence the name RX (:

@heith85 It's a slide throttle. You can get a good idea of how they work at around the :40 mark. It's basically a flat plate with a hole in it, the plate goes between the air inlet and the intake port, the plate is pulled in one direction when the throttle is depressed, bringing the hole in line with the intake runner allowing air into the engine.

Actually, the 787b's 26b engine was more reliable than any of the competition (engine was filmed being taken apart, showing very little wear). Piston engines made for racing require rebuilds after each race. They had to cap the power at 700hp@9000rpm to keep from destroying transmissions due to being very close to or at redline for long periods. The original spec was 930hp@10,500rpm
