  • DEF NOT IED PROOF. SHIT GETS CAUGHT IN THEM THROWS OF THE BALANCE AS WELL

  • you know the most effecive defense against IED's don't occupy foreign countries

  • im pretty sure they are not grenade proof...but I mean really if a tire was more grenade proof then a person make me body armor pleeeze not a damned tire. :)

  • puncture proof. NOT IED proof

  • @sexephon .. what army?..romanian army maybe..from a donation....

  • @sexephon i never saw them and i've done 3 tours... hmmm i wonder?

  • Well its 2012 and there's no sign of these actually being used... Though I could be wrong

  • the reason why this tire is bullet proof is because its got an invisible dragon armor plating around it. Super high tech shit. Then outside of that, its got an invisible Protoss shield around it.

  • they blow apart at high speeds and they can't take corners

  • why does this worthless video have over 1 mil views?

  • @tmack1219 because people like you wanted to see...

  • wait, IED proof? Yea..........

  • FUCK YEAH! Finally a picture-video!

  • triangles are stronger than honeycombs

  • @austinXDFtw While your statement is true, however, a triangle cannot flex, whereas a hexagon/honeycomb can

  • Great first song

  • so the tire is ied and grenade proof, what about the undercarriage of the vehicle..

  • how can i get tires like this one??

    send an answer please!!!

  • Yeah not on em yet!!

  • i want one cops aint ever gona be able to slow me down drive right threw them spike strips

  • @prostreet2 and there you have the reason these are not sold to the public.

  • @matt70532 there are no humvees any more...

  • @iulianviorel yes there is. look at the army.

  • lame ass vid tho. showes the same pic several times.

  • Thank the bees, that are now dying due to pollution

  • ...hum...I wonder why they didn't implement the triangle structure instead this hexegon.

  • where can I buy tires like that for my truck, I really want some, please let me know.

  • We'll just have to take your word on it...

  • PUT A NADE IN ONE OF THOSE HOLES? ITS GONNA BLOW!

  • Explain how these honeycomb things, are Grenade/IED proof, thats idiotic.

  • @TheStealthyCactus no ballon of a tire to get holes in and go flat

  • @crazyeyez1502 wat. i asked how can this wheel survive an IEd or grenade, no the disadvantage of a air tire.

  • @TheStealthyCactus shrapnel from bomb blast punched hole in reg tire, tire goes flat.

  • @crazyeyez1502 Again i know, im saying how will ths wheels survive, shrapnel/explosions would rip that wheel apart. air or not, if some of that honeycomb is lost the wheel will collapse.

  • i had in the way back machine, tubeless tires with a honeycomb deal on my bmx bike and it sucked ass whoever invented these types of tires never drove or rode long term in the vehicle equipt wit em they suck monkee ass, road transfer is brutaly harsh and off road u want to die within the first 5 min of high speeds.tears ur insides up bad!

  • Whats up with those toilet babys on the show 'I Didn't know I Was Pregnant"?

  • Its 2012 BRO !!

  • they must not know humvees have a air regulation system that allows vehicle for easier travel over sand and rough terrain... perhaps a blend of tech is required.

  • I'm in the weird part of youtube again WTF

  • IED and Grenade proof my ass. Just cos you can't get a 'puncture' doesn't mean the tire cant be shredded or deformed...

  • Did you film your lego Hummer?

  • The unique wheel constantly clogged with dirt.

  • what the fuck is this music

  • @MRTURTLEMAN127 ozzy and its metal, problem?

  • @MRTURTLEMAN127

Iron Man by Black Sabbath (singer was... you know that voice :)

  • @MRTURTLEMAN127 great music.

  • Try turning a curve at 60 MPH.

  • Useless in mud and snow.

  • well its 2012 and they're not on our Humvees....

  • @matt70532 its 2012, we dont even use the humvee anymore :p

  • @sddragon28 yeah we do, they are just being replaced slowly.... with the mrap for the moment...

  • @matt70532 Vote for a republican, maybe...MAYBE then they'll get to our troops. But likely not.

  • @matt70532 When they say it will be on a Humvee in 2011 or 2012 then it means that the humvees produced in 2011 or 2012 are getting those tires not the ones that are produced in 2003 or 2004 etc.

  • @matt70532 They are u just dont see them :))

  • @matt70532 because we are consumers, why would consumers get any tech that stops us consuming for the elite corporates

  • @matt70532 We couldn't afford it. The CEO of Bank of America needed a new Maybach.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow. Even the military have Humvees!

  • @FJinNorCal just because it doesnt use air doesnt mean the tire cant get shredded, and in certain conditions, still leaving the team stranded

  • whats the simulated psi on these?

  • Bees love these tires! Ready made hive!

  • I guess nobody here remembers tweels? If I remember correctly, they had trouble with getting too hot at high speeds, and they made a lot of noise.

  • Have they been tested on sand?. With pneumatic tires, letting them down to just below half there recommended pressure will improve traction in sand. These hard tires wouldn't be too useful I'd think.. May be good on rock though.

  • where can I get those?

  • IED proof huh? Yeah cause its not like IEDs dont completely rip tires off the axle or anything.

  • @0gmstuckey I think it really is suitable for a situation where you run over something sharp or there is a shrapnel puncture with an air tire you are stuck whereas with a honeycomb you can get out of the situation.

  • is it me or anyone else gets the chills looking at the tires...?

  • 823 people, fuck it they're right. this video blows

  • i would love to know more info about these, i run a offroad club in Wisconsin, and we are always looking for some new product to try out, hows the flex on them and articulation, since we are use to deflating our tires for more traction, and offroad traction(treat patterns), and of course what sizes

  • How about snow?

  • Bulletproof because they already have a barrage of holes in them. Holes = Bulletproof amirite?

  • what song is this???

  • @MrREDNECK425 Black Sabbath-Iron Man

  • Just a way to add weight. Then dirt and mud can get in the tires and unbalance the tires, weigh them down, and then the MPG goes down.

  • You know how honeycomb tires fail? LATERAL MOVEMENT. Take a turn too hard and the fucker collapses.

  • @Mark2790

They could easily cover the sides. The honeycomb doesn't HAVE to be exposed.

  • AKA "tweel". Only problem (maybe) I can see is that crap gets stuck in the spaces and upsets the balance at higher speeds.

  • @Mark2790pretty sure thats just an inside view of the tire with the side wall off

  • @ciupa911 this isn't an inside view. This tire was designed at the University of Wisconsin. You can check it out for yourself if you need proof.

  • @Mark2790 just look at the wheel its not made for any kind of speed

  • @Mark2790 just pust some rims on dem suckers that can retract with the wheels movement u be fine

  • @Mark2790 Good observation. I was thinking the same thing. However, wouldn't some sort of a thin cover or membrane solve that problem?

  • they would never bring this into production for the public because they want us to pop our tires so we have to go buy new ones and they make more money

  • @boba719 Who is they exactly?

  • @mattplasse88 idk goodyear, bridgestone, cooper, michelin, yokohama those are just some i can think of that won't take the risk of losing money by selling these airless tires

  • @boba719 I don't think it would be practical for all street cars to have these tires. They seem to be alittle flat on the bottom which would eat fuel consumption. It would just be practicle for Jeeps and other off roadies. You can take your tin foil hat off now Mr.Conspiracies.Would the tire not wear down over time anyways, then you would have to buy new ones or have them retreaded. Air is free last time I checked and the tire companies don't even possess it.

  • @mattplasse88 air is free in some states.. Most still charge you for air. Less you have your own airpump.

With that stated.. the only gas station I found to service free air in all the states I been is is: Hess.

  • @stormshockin I know air is free, I was just trying to tell that guy that tire companies make most of their money on tires wearing down as opposed to popping, or selling air(which no tire company does). Almost all gas stations now try to trick you into paying they put up a money taking machine that is like $3 for air but if you go in and ask or in my case I demand it because I think they are asshole for even trying to charge.

  • @mattplasse88 I try doing that here in SC and they look at me like i'm stupid and don't respond to my demands on the air tank.

I've not had the problem of demanding air in most other states(that i been through) though. I agree though.. the charge for air is pathetic. Especially since improperly flated tires could be a safety hazard.

HAHA i just though of something. Man, I even get into an accident and notice my tires are low, I'm prolly gonna blame on "expensive" air xP.

  • @stormshockin You can just buy a cigarette lighter compressor for about 5 bucks and keep it in the trunk. Running a compressor cost money and its a simple case of aggregate demand you need air e.g. demand is high and supply e.g. pumps are low thus high cost. Again simple idea eliminate the in-elasticity of demand by simply buying your own pump it ain't exactly nasa technology.

  • do they sell this tires or it is just military? I like to upgrade my jeep, anybody know?

  • The only problem is that is is fugly.

  • yes but will it blend??

  • i want these tires for my lumina

  • Comment removed

  • or you could just run foam filled tires...

  • @HarleyJones101291 foam will disintegrate over time..

  • thats the ugliest thing ive ever seen

  • You should call it "The most uncomfortable tire ever"

  • видео где?

  • I was this video on Google Images too

  • god damn that would be an uncomfortable ride...

  • it would if i had your blasphemous mouth in the car

  • this is antique technology, Dunlop, Pirelli, and many others have played with similar things for years, in fact almost identical designs.

  • It's almost 2012, the the Hummer is on it's way out. Where are these tires? lol

  • Most irrelevant slideshow/post ever on Youtube?

  • There's only one problem. I might save American lives. haha. fuck yez.

  • looks like it has a disease or something

  • Chuck Norris bicycle tires LOL

  • Hey, its 2011 now. You lied.

  • @walperstyle Actually not. I have those same tires on lambo. Works great! Now I can confidently pass cars on the shoulders without getting a flat. SWEET!! One thing though...I usually throw up after 5 minutes driving on those tires. No biggie. Got a nice silk lined barf bag! :)

  • its actually a russian invention, americain cant invent anything, ever their space shuttle is a copy of an old russian model.

  • send those to afganistan the taliban will tell u how does they finish them

  • these were not made for humvees they started off as a industrial tire for skid loaders other people just got a idea to make it bigger

  • Have fun with those when they are packed full of mud......

  • How heavy compared to air-inflated?

    Top speed?

    Collects mud?

  • and why dont we use these? aha

  • this vid sux

  • bad traction ruff ride

  • Hey...... It's 2011 and 2012 is coming up in under 21 days. They didn't add these to the military Humvees yet...

  • looks retarded

  • They should try an ice cream sandwich, I heard its better then honeycomb.

  • ok the tires will be fine when a ied goes off but the crew will be fucking toast. brilliant.

  • @SCHMULBACH22 More and more armoured viechles are being fitted with the V chassis. Making it easily possile to survive IED's. Don't be so negative. All i was thinking was wow this is revolutionary and will probably be standard on all domest cars in out lifetime. I guess it's just too hard to please everyone ay.... :)

  • @SCHMULBACH22 which is why the humvees are fob runners and mraps are used there trickier to drive but i feel alot safer going on the road with then in a humvee

  • @SCHMULBACH22 Its best to save what you can rather then lose what you could have saved.

  • @SCHMULBACH22 like they wouldnt be with a regular tire? idiot

  • @PineappleKushh thats my point.

  • @SCHMULBACH22 why do u think so?

  • @SCHMULBACH22 they should make one giant tire they all sit in....lmao

  • @Nascarrr48 perfect!

  • WTF is this shit?

    Nothing blew up!

  • its also the same technology they use for forklift tires nuffin new

  • R.I.P. any remaining ride comfort in military vehicles -_-

  • well its not a bad idea for a tire.

  • WACK ASS VIDEO. GOOD SAMPLE OF OTIS REDDING AT THE END THO. THAT'S THE ONLY PROPS.

  • I gave this video a thumbs up because of how many different photos it had of the tire. Also, for the geography lesson. KEEP THIS CRAP OFF YOU_TUBE!!!!

  • Why don't we have these for civilian use?

  • @AkiraSRT9 probably because they ride like crap and everyone will complain about it

  • THATS A U N TRUCK WHAT ITS DOING IN THE USA

  • you can get solid tires. highest load capacity. no air nipples. you send your rim to the fabricators and they build the tire on the rim. cool eh? I think those solid tires are what they use on the big mining dump trucks not sure though..

  • how would you make them softer?

  • that rim is resigned to bend. a grenade will bend the shit out of it! bullets will penetrate! toughest tire? i dont think so

  • @TiresSmoking

I think by "bulletproof" they mean a bullet can't cause it to go flat...

  • Bha, just weld a 10-inch tick titanium disk on the studs.....

  • the toughest tire ever. ever? what are you, 3 years old.

  • Where do i buy???!

  • its a twheel..... old news boys old news

  • @xX53preble53Xx What is this "wheel" you speak of? I am unfamiliar with term. Perhaps you could explain.

  • Its a toy..

  • That pattern kinda makes me sick... Lots of holes next to each other just makes my hands feel numb and eyes to loose sight... fobia of somesort -.- SHUT UP YOU'RE WEIRD!

  • These tires whistle louder the faster they go.

  • friend I can pass the music of this video

  • haha with that tire must be a hell of a bumby ride... am i right?

  • But Will It Blend?

  • Now humvee's tire are safe, what about the rest of the vehicle?

  • It's i.e.d. and grenade proof... yea that's nice and everything but those tires will be pretty useless since the rest of the humvee will be blown into hundreds of pieces when it goes by a bomb.

  • what is the 1st song?

  • @JTO97 really?

  • @JTO97 Your joking right?

  • the engine behind them isnt bullet proof

  • The titanic had a honeycomb design -.-

  • @PlayinGamesErryDay hey game :D

  • @PlayinGamesErryDay ha ha true but it was also made with fractured steel

  • @PlayinGamesErryDay - No it didn't, it had a series of watertight bulkheads that could be sealed off by triggering watertight doors from the bridge. Just straight bulkheads - no honeycomb.

  • @PlayinGamesErryDay No it didn't. You're a moron.

  • @PlayinGamesErryDay the individual cells in the titanic were not completely sealed off. That and they had to be sealed. The tire is neither of these things so your argument is invalid

  • @PlayinGamesErryDay trolololololol

  • @PlayinGamesErryDay no, no it didn't...
