  • Cool video. Thanks for allowing my video as video response.

Did you enjoy my tribue to the world of Ys and the awesome remakes from Falcom?

  • It's always great to see Ys videos, the series deserves more recognition that is currently gets.

  • Thanks for the memories all nicely compressed down to four and a half minutes. =)

  • Haha! I loved this game. I found a spot in the first field where you could keep walking against the edge of the river while a monster kept spawning and walking into the sword and dieing. I put a clamp on the control pad and was maxed out at level 16 by the morning. Fun times.

  • Awesome!

  • i love this game, got through book one in about 3-4 hours. i havent started book 2 yet. im not a big rpg fan either, so i was scared to try this game out and i love it.

  • Book II is even better so you're in for a treat!

  • Awesomeness on a platter! I've been playing a bit of Gate Of Thunder recently, so when i'm tired of that...the last boss of book 1 is really easy, though, and all the others were hard, I thought!

  • Book II is awesome! But make sure you level up a lot before fighting bosses. If you die easily, go back and kill random enemies until you go up a level or two. One more thing, when you get to dark fact (final boss) make sure you are AT LEAST lv 80 (or I think the number was around 85000 or so) because Dark Fact is a BITCH to the highest degree. It took me about 30 times to beat him, but so worth it. I felt like I was kid again and I had just beat Super Mario Bros for the first time! LOL!

  • Ok, a couple of goof ups, one the boss is Darm, not Fact, two, get to lv 59 or higher to fight him if you want to stand any chance what so ever of defeating Darm.

  • I heard this will be coming out in August for the US Wii VC. No info for the EUR VC yet.

  • Sept. 5 for Europe I hear

  • LOVE THIS GAME

brings back memories of the turbo grafx

  • wow better than pokemon yellow/ green/red.

  • LOL

  • Man, I wish they still made games like this........From the days where VG's were INNOCENT

  • Falcom has put out remakes on the PC and various consoles in Japan over and over and over. I don't get why none have ever been localized here while they put out stuff like Ys V. They should make like a PSP or DS remake of Ys I, II, and III.

  • DS is getting Ys 1 and 2.

  • In the US?!?! (I think the DS one is already out in Japan, no?)

  • The one already out in Japan is Ys stratagy, and Ys 1 has been announced for spring 2008 in Japan and Ys 2 is still tba. And given the success of the DS I'm hoping for an American release.

  • Is that the American TG version? Or the japanese PCE game has English text as well?

  • This is from the US release.

  • This game was so advanced for its time. And the soundtrack was amazing. This was one of my favorite TGCD games.

  • Still one of the best games ever made. Ahhh, the nostalgia.

  • I absolutely love this game to death. Best RPG ever imo. I still have my copy for the TG-16, but I can't enjoy it cuz my TG-16 controllers are both broken.

  • Man. Buy a controller off Ebay for cheap! :D Seriously. So worth it!

  • Ys 1 & 2 is such a beautiful game. I only wish non-TG-16 and PCE owners can experience this game in the Wii, despite its age.

  • The memories! Great vid.

  • AWESOME!! Nice job, and you even opened the video with my favorite piece of music from Ys II, "Subterranean Canal." Thanks for posting!!
