  • this is probably one of the most inspiring guitar videos i have seen, thank you for posting this.

  • @xMOURNLESSx My pleasure. Thank you for your comment.

  • This is amazing. It's beautiful to listen to. Thank you, sir.

  • @Zimnyification Thank you for watching.

  • is this a 18 string martin guitar?

  • @101elad No, it's a limited product by Takamine Guitars though it has 6 +12 = 18 strings. Thank you for watching.

  • Asian guy?!

Y U NO PLAY BOTH NECKS?!

  • @MrJeffHoyle Yes. I am from Japan. Of course, I play both necks if necessary!

  • Technically this guitar has 20 strings. 0:

    Beautiful rendition! ^-^

  • @Matrix803 Thank you for watching. In fact, this guitar has 6 + 12 = 18 strings. It takes time for tuning.

  • i'm not an expert but wouldn't you rather call that a double neck guitar? and one other thing.......................you're awesome =D

  • @mehmet16375 Exactly. It should be called a double neck guitar. I entitled this video "12 string guitar solo" because I play only 12 string neck in it. Thank you for your comment.

  • Comment removed

  • tuning? half-fret? great stuff......

  • @coreyagraph The tuning is DGCFAD (bottom to top). It is similar to the standard tuning but a tone down. I put a partial capo on the 2nd fret of 3rd to 5th course (5th to 10th of 12 string neck). The frets are usually paced (semi tone interval). Thank you for watching.

  • reading " 12 string guitar solo " i didn't expect to see that kind guitar.but it's awesome

  • @Georgio64folk Sorry for the confusing title. As I played only the 12 string neck of this guitar in this video, so I wrote "12 string guitar". Anyway thank you for your comment.

  • Bravo !!! .... and the winds sang while the trees danced on a bright moon-lit summer's night !

  • @orbitring Thank you for your comment with imagenation.

  • you look like john lennon :D wait ¬¬

  • @Dhowrsas You are the second person who said I look like J. Lennon. (The first person is "sratra1" from India who gave me a comment for this video eight month ago.) Thank you for watching.

  • @gvillage2001 i said that because you look like him to me and you play too good the guitar :)

  • @Dhowrsas My pleasure. Thank you again.

  • @leftyrock85 Thank you!

  • outstanding!

  • @Edge985 Thanks!

  • @williheckaslike Thank you for watching!

  • Holy Cow. What a sound. Brilliant arrangement as well. That's what so fantastic about the Beatles... they can be interpreted many many ways. Well done!

  • @DeclanTKatt Thank you for watching.

  • Wow!, that is amazing, the sound is Huge, didn

t see it mentioned what kind of guitar is that?

  • @paulramon10 The guitar is ..... a little bit unusual as you see. it has two necks, one is a usual 6 string neck and the other is 12 string which I play in this vidoe. It is a limited production guitar by Takamine Guitar. Thank you for watching!

  • This is going on my ipod

  • @bowers1148 My pleasure! I hope you enjoy the song.

  • Great one, real talent

  • @SuperVindvalker Thank you for watching!

  • Are you Sungha Jungs dad? That was brilliant.

  • @feldmannpaul Sorry but I'v never met Jung Sungha though he visited Japan last year. (I've never been Korea.)

But I know the arranger of Sungha's Beatles cover. He is known as "peacejoytown" in YouTube. Thank you for your comment.

  • Beautiful! No other words are necessary.

  • @InnerPeaceRecordings Thank you for watching!

  • You have brought great pleasure to me by uploading this. Thank you very much.

  • @mp2611 I am very glad to hear that. Thank you for your comment.

  • This is great. Great work.

  • @VideoMask93 Thank you for watching.

  • @gvillage2001 My pleasure. How long have you been playing?

  • @VideoMask93 More than 40 years. I started playing guitar when I was a 10 years old boy.

  • It is so refreshing to see someone with actual talent. Thank you for posting this.

  • @aatball It is my pleasure. Thank you for your comment!

  • Awesome, simply awesome :)

  • @robertoreyesjr Thank you for watching.

  • I was waiting him to play on the other neck for the whole time LOL

  • @7pentagram7 Sorry. Recently, I play 12 string neck only. The other neck of this guitar makes good sound also.

  • Good job! but why are there two necks on one guitar

  • @CODDaTerminator One is 6 string neck and the other is 12 string neck. (Though I play the 12 string neck only in these videos,) I can switch the sound from 12 string to 6 string (or from 6 string to 12 string) in one song.

    Thank you for your comment.

  • @CODDaTerminator HAVENT U EVER HEARD OF JIMMY PAGE!!!!!

  • Wow!!! I really love watching you play, I have just begun learning and watching your fingerplay is encouraging!!!

  • @BourbonBellflower1 Thank you again for your comment. My pleasure. Enjoy your play!

  • This is the song Angels play when they take you to heaven.

  • @xXT0M4H4WkXx Thank you for your comment!

  • Swirling guitar virtuoso that has feel, heart and (rubber) soul ..the 12 string is trully an inspiring instrument dont you think? All the best brother

  • @timbo241162 My pleasure! Thank you for your comment again!

    > "(rubber) soul " ;-)

  • I could watch this nonstop! Its an inspiration if explainable in one word

  • @AndyMan4131 MY PLEASURE! Thank you for watching.

  • Can you tell me the name and brand of your mic?

  • @KillerGreenBean It is Rode NT-4.

  • This is amazing! Best cover I've ever heard, and that's coming right from my heart. Keep on playing, you have talent.

  • @TechTurtleBeats Thank you so much for your comment and your subscription.

  • excelente sonido

  • @zoozio66 Thank you for watching anyway. Sorry, I cannot reply in Espanior.

  • @MegaHellraiser69 Thank you for watching!

  • Sounds amazing! Where'd you get this guitar? What the make and model?

  • @Xcalith Thank you for watching. This guitar is a limited production by Takamine. I got it in Tokyo 23 years ago.

  • What is the tuning on your 12 (or should I say 18)?

    Fascinating arrangement. Well done

  • @greenslime27 It is the standard tuning but a tone down: DGCFAD (from bottom to top). And I use a partial capo on the 2nd fret of G, C and F strings. Thus I get DADGAD tuning voicing on the standard finger form.

    Thank you for watching.

  • Well played. I couldn't of played it any better. I like how rich that 12 string sounds. Nice!

  • @JamminJoe317 Thank you for watching. Please enjoy my other 12 string videos.

  • I am incredibly humbled by your performance! You are amazingly talented and i would quite willingly pay to see you perform :) I will certainly keep an eye out for further videos... You are by far one of the best guitarists i have seen :)

  • @samiboy1234567 Thank you for your comment. I hope you enjoy my other videos.

  • This is just simply amazing. I wonder how this video hasn't got millions of views already! You play the guitar so beautifully, not a single mistake there, just amazing! And I love the fact that you make the effort to answer to every single comment :) Keep up the good work!

  • @kaahaaraa Thank you for your comment. I think that there are so many good musicians can be found in YouTube. So some of them get millions of views, others not yet.

Actually I made some mistakes in every video. But I do not mind slight mistakes. Some mistakes do express myself as a part of my music. (Of course some mistakes are not acceptable.)

  • Hum...great playing but, finally one guitar with 6 strings is enaugh, no ?

  • @designeratwork Exactly. Though I play 12 string in this video, I sometimes play this song with a normal 6 string guitar on stage. But I also play songs (including this song) using both necks of this guitar. I love 12 string sound. Thank you for your comment.

  • awsome man now thats good clean guitar playing right there

  • @mighymopars Thank you for your comment!

  • You are most talented ! Best 12 string I have heard. Do more please !

  • @debfass54 Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy my other videos. I will try to play more songs with my 12 string guitar.

  • Ahaha, I started singing along automatically. :D

  • @JustMissJac Great! My pleasure to hear that! Thank you!

  • lol your ridiculous!

  • @rebelwithoutapause25 It may look pretentious, but the playing style is quite simple as I said in the other comment.

I hope that you enjoy THE MUSIC.

Of course a double neck guitar is overspec to play this song... I just needed 12string.

  • haha...he looks slightly like lennon...AMAZING job...

  • @sratra1 you are the first person who said "look like lennon" to me. Thank you for your comment.

  • @gvillage2001

  • @Tersa254 Thank you for watching!

  • God, man! Your rings and sustains are positively haunting! They last forever! Masterful work!

  • @TheMarkNessMonster Thank you very much for your comment and your subscription.

  • @gvillage2001 thank you again!

  • Oh man, marvelous articulation! Wonderful vertical notes, splendid finger maintanence! A fan is born!

  • Very beautiful my friend! A pleasure to my ears everytime I listen! Keep up the wonderful playing!

  • @crankdatjew09 Thank you so much for your comment.

  • very cool, especially the intro. what brand & model guitar is that?

  • @mjt11860 thank you. This guitar is a limitted production by Takamine. So it has no model-#.

  • wow. i recently got a 12 string...how long have you been playing???

  • @95AnnieAnnie95 It is long time ago when I got my 1st 12 string, but did not play it so much. After years, I got tihis guitar in 1989, and I have been playing. Thank you for watching.

  • SUBSCRIBED

  • @chamath1985 Thank you very much for your subscription!

  • @gvillage2001 You're most welcomed. I wish I had a teacher like you.

  • @chamath1985 My pleasure. ButI am afraid that I am not a good teacher because my guitar play is self-taught. Someone say something "unusual"... :-)

  • @gvillage2001 I see your point, and isn't unusual at all. I've played many other instruments and I really must say that guitar and some other stringed instruments such as lute made me have a different approach, and I've sticked to them ever since. To be honest I learnt playing them with the aid of books. What about your story?

  • @chamath1985 My story is.. in my young days, I learned something from books and magazines, but I was not a eager reader of lesson articles in them. I just turn on a radio or cassette player and played with songs from them, play in bands. In these years, I play just as I want to play, or I play what I want to listen to, especially in solo instrumental style.

So I do not like (at least, I am not good at) lessons or practices.

  • @gvillage2001 Hehe.. that's pretty much the same things I do, except the fact that you played in bands. Since my taste is more towards classic rock, people from my area is mostly into different genres, the only open option for me is to play on local death metal bands which is least close to my genre, but its not my type at all lol. Plus I have fun spending my time designing and making guitar amps and pedals. It's pretty much addictive work. BTW, your cover is amazing. I listen to it everyday.

  • @chamath1985 BTW I wish you a happy new year.

  • @chamath1985 A Happy New Year! And Thank you again for your comment.

  • An excellent performance, but the title is in error - it's a 6 string rendition on a 12 string guitar. The other 6 strings remain unused unfortunately.

  • @yaktur Thank you for your comment. You say that it's 6 string rendition on a 12 string guitar because I use just upper neck? If so, it is not correct. The upper neck is 12 string. So this guitar is 6 + 12 = 18 string guitar. I play "just 12 strings" on this video. :-)

  • @gvillage2001 : I stand corrected! Thank you! It's still a most excellent performance!

  • @flyingcanadian You know it could just be because he practices... Or he's a prodigy but not because of his race that's just ridiculous you might as well say that all white people are "smarter" because their past generations have created horrible weapons that slaughtered millions of people from different races. Sterotypes are SHIT! Very good work on the guitar! :D

  • @Slayerjewish Thank you for your comment. Yes. Sterrotype is not my goal. I play for my own feeling.

Maybe my music is not just from my race.. Not all Asian guitarists play like me, of course. Some white guitarist may play songs with more Asian taste..

  • That's amAZING!!.....

    It's cuz he's Asian....

  • @flyingcanadian13 There may be something oriental in my guitar play. Thank you for wathching.

  • OH MYYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOD FIRST TIME SEEING THIS TYPE OF GUITAR! AMAZING!

  • @oshkosh22 Thank you for watching. Please enjoy more my videos with this guitar.

  • very good job!!!! awesome video!!!!

  • @MrOzzy15 thank you very much!

  • where did you get this guitar and do they make them in a left handed form??

  • @Tarttelinknot666 this guitar is a limitted product by Takamine Guitar Co. I got this one in Tokyo, 22 years ago. I heard that l just a few of this model are made and shipped untill now.

I am very sorry but I do not know if they make a left handed version of this model

    (or similar model).

  • @Tarttelinknot666 dude u can just re string it the opsite way with a guitar like that cant u no need for left handed one

  • I did not know they cloned George Harrison.

  • @MadnessOfMarmots 12string guitar sometimes sounds like Indian Sitar.
