I've figured out a philosophy that probably isn't very healthy, but it makes my sleep so much better, and makes me cherish my sleep. I simply stay up until I'm very tired, then go to bed. I get less sleep, but the quality of sleep is amazing, and I slip into REM faster.

As silly as that whole thermometer idea sounds, it actually has the potential to be a good idea. Even though we sleep 1/3 of our lives away, it's so we can enjoy the other 2/3 of our life without being irritable, unable to focus, lack energy, or having terrible migraines.
