Many players do this is real life situations and sometimes it pays off, while other times the ball soars off the court. Rest assured, this is a good addition to the game so long as the developers know to truely make it a "risk" situation.
the problem with risk shots is players abuse them using the drop shot every single point to win matches,or lobbing everypoint and even lobbing as a service return.this ruins the game in my opinion when you play online against people who dont reply on tennis to beat you but just using drop shots every single point.
