  • I love this tune! I just wish I was able to get through the game.

  • @zzyxyz000062 This is an awesome tune but I'm with you I so cannot get to grips with where to go and what to do, I did one albeit with a guide of sorts.

  • Who the fuck composed this?? I have searched everywhere and haven't found anything!

  • @ceakin84 I found it said Martin Galway composed this but I honestly they got him mixed with the C64 version.

  • THERE WAS A GAME?! Holy crap!

  • @Domatophobic Yes Johnny 5 had his own computer game and it was actually pretty good. It came in two parts, part one has you guide number 5 to escape from the Nova Complex and the second part has you flee for your life.....the sad thing is part two was uncompletable meaning you could never finish the game.

  • Cor, I remember this - one of the few times when the 48kb version was just as much fun as the 128kb rendition (it was more brassy).

  • @AshleyMarkPomeroy Yeah I had this game growing up and it's really good. I always loved this tune, this always was one of my favourites and indeed the 48K version is just as good.

  • w.alles big brother

  • @connoroneill98 I always thought Wall.E was the offspring of Johnny 5. =)

  • Where are number 5's eyebrows!?

  • @Jellicoid That's a question for the screen illustrator Ronny Fowles - perhaps not including the eyebrows saved memory. Maybe it reduced colour clash. Maybe he forgot! I wish I had the answers.

  • @Otouto72 As a game graphics illustrator myself, I can forgive the omission either way:)

  • @Jellicoid Ah cool! In games in this era (especially the Spectrum) it was very difficult to get every neccessary detail for one reason or another, memory, complication, or pure laziness lol!

May I ask you? Did you make any graphics for licensed games?

  • @Otouto72 No, I'm afraid I'm just an indie dev at the moment:)

My team and I are making a retro adventure game about robots right now actually, I'm trawling youtube for inspiration/revisiting my favourite robots from childhood etc.

  • @Jellicoid And you just happen to run into one of my videos? XD Yeah I loved Johnny 5 growing up! That adventure sounds really sweet and a nice concept too!

I wish you and your team all possible success!

  • @Otouto72 "Maybe he forgot" LMAO I swear you have the best responses brother!

  • @FL00PPA I just try dude....I just try. =)

  • @xJORDAN99x Oh yeah I love this tune, one of my favourites growing up!

  • tune

  • I always liked this tune.. I really liked the galway c64 title tune too, but this fred gray original spectrum tune is very good as well.

  • @lordtrumpy That was a good tune also. I'm biased towards the Speccy though =)

  • FUCKING AWESOME

  • @GamerGeezer I love this tune, its one of my all time personal favourites, I used to put the game solely to listen to the music during homework =)

  • @Otouto72 So I wasnt the only one who used Spectrum music to help with homework then? =P

  • It's it just me or did the Cybermorph theme rip off a little sample of this?

  • Classic! Quality music - I remember this one. Good post.

  • Great music, dull game.

  • I loved this game as a child but now the game doesn'y excite me anymore. Besides Part 2 was glitched anyway!

  • YES! One of my all time favourites! Thanks a bunch kid!
