When I first heard your version of this song, my very first thought was, wow that was really beautiful. Although I like Johnny Cash's version; it doesn't strike me as beautiful, so that says a lot about the emotional dimension of your song. In other words, I really liked it!

Very nice! I'm also a Johnny Cash fan, and have recently become a fan of his daughter Rosanne also. Her version of 500 Miles (findable on YouTube) is the very epitome of "hauntingly beautiful."
