  • Are your monitors mounted or sitting on the desk?

  • omg 64gb of ram and a crap frame rate

  • @krazykap0 Yes nothing to do with CPU or RAM, video is all down to the video cards

  • LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGG :D

  • Nice Table ;D

  • FSX Rules..

  • what e hack is xplane ?

  • @TheZiggiization A flight sim...

  • multi-grand computer and u get ~10fps on a flight sim game??? i would be setting cities on fire

  • Hardware specifications?

  • @dmickeleit

    Apple Mac Pro

    2 x Xeon X5670 with 12 Cores/24 Threads 2.93Ghz/3.33Ghz

    64 GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM

    3 x 3TB WD 10,000 RPM Drives and 1 x 512GB with RAID

    3 x 27” LED Cinema Display 2560x1440

    2 x AMD HD 5870

    2 x Superdrives

  • @nickmurray22 VERY NICE COMPUTER!! how much did it cost you??

  • @nickmurray22 Why the heck would you need 64 gb of ram? And 9,512 gb of storage?

  • @TechGuyTomorrow You can never have enough ram or storage for stuff like video editing

  • PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KINDA DESK THAT IS!!!!

    I WANT THOSE LIGHTS!!!

  • @ThisWeeksTech Lights and desk from IKEA : )

  • I think your video card might not have enough ram for this extreme resolution, and when your video card runs out of ram you get super performance drops

  • @ukjamie96 64 gb of ram?

  • @ukjamie96 however too much RAM could be a problem also

  • Is the cam in your head? xD

  • NOTHING BEATS FSX FLIP THORNINESS AND FLIGHT X PLANTS I ALWAYS CRASH

  • nice

  • Ha, GoPro. I like it!

  • what are the lights on the desk

  • @MegaDehumanizer So you want me to tell you what MY PC is made of instead of you telling me your parts? K, my PC has a 1TB hard drive, 8Gb of DDR3 ram, PY Verto 9600 gso graphics card, and I'm about to buy a 750 watt powe supply, and I have 4 i3 CPU's

how much did it all cost? around $500-$570

It can run better games, more programs at a time without lag, and works more fluently than your Mac can

I can also make it a Mac if I bought the OSx, so it would save me money if I was a mac fanboy

  • @MegaDehumanizer So because I brought up real facts and wanted to know the specs of your computer for the price you paid, that makes me an annoying prick?

You used opinions, I used facts, and you still didn't tell me your specs

  • @MegaDehumanizer How are we done? I was in the middle of an argument meant to prove to you firsthand why macs are bad and you just want to remain oblivious.

Tell me your specs and I'll tell you what laptop you could have build with the money you payed for that (and custom laptops and PCs can run OSx too)

PC=quality and quantity for a good price

Mac=an aluminum casing with a battery that costs $500 more than it should

  • @MegaDehumanizer there is no quality in Mac computers, and me asking for your specs and price are an argument by itself, but I think you know you are going to lose it, so you are just going to play the "I'm a Mac, I'm better than you" card and turn a blind eye to logical reasons on why Macs are bad computers

You are being stubborn and willingly oblivious to facts.

continue lying to yourself, you know nothing about technology

  • @MegaDehumanizer wait, so all of the sudden you went to being a computer engineer to a teenager who still has his father pay for things for you?

Also, you didn't tell me your Video card/gpu, motherboard, HDD, or PSU

  • @MegaDehumanizer So he invented a innovative computer for the time with a good GUI, which pretty much stayed the same except for shiny visuals later on. Is that all you have to offer to the table? Sure he is a smart guy, but he has no choice but to use Macs to maintain image (and he's already rich s it is)

Tell me how much you payed for you Mac and it's specs (if you know how to find them) and I'll tell you what you could have bought, assembled, and downloaded (whichever OS you want)

  • @MegaDehumanizer hahaha, you are just such an oblivious person that every time I see your reply, it just makes my day. Software and hardware are TWO SEPARATE THINGS. The "great Woz" started building CPU's and their own hardware until companies out did them in every way, now they don't' "innovate" in technology, they just buy old surplus CPU that are now obsolete and put them in their comps.

If you call yourself a computer engineer and think hardware and software are the same thing, you fail

  • @MegaDehumanizer So instead of arguing facts, you start insulting me? Typical mac user...

And no, you aren't a computer engineer, you are just some smug teenager that thinks they know everything about computers when they have never opened one up/assembled one in their life

Real computer engineers (I know many) are hardcore PC fanatics

And also, computer running off a AA battery would limit all of its capabilities (ram, cpu, vido card, etc.), giving shitty performance.

  • @MegaDehumanizer *facepalm* Software runs off of hardware you moron! And besides, you can build a PC and install the Mac OS on there and get the same software. By lacking hardware (and actually Apple uses a cheap China made brand) you don't get quality over quantity. You get a shitty computer with hardly any power other than to run the internet and basic software a double A battery could power (all for over 1000 dollars too, good deal)

I really hope you are a troll

  • @MegaDehumanizer Hardware is not that expensive. Compare a custom Mac side by side with a custom PC with the EXACT same specs and you'll see that Apple over charges you every chance they get. I can make 7 high end gaming PC's for the price of a Mac with the same power.

Learn hardware and prices and you'll see why PC is better than Macs

  • Cool table

  • @TheKazable Nothing comes close when it comes to CPU horse power. 24 core xeon. I use it for video editing. What takes my PC (with i7 990x) 2 hours+ the Mac does in 23 minutes. On top of that it never crashes.

  • i could have bought so many foamposites with the amount of money u spent on apple -.- cool video though

  • @nickmurray22 I sorry I don't know what you're asking. The Mac Pro yes was a rip-off. I don't see the value in it. If you do that's great for you, but I would rather build my own PC for everything. X-Plane is better than FSX because you don't have to use that god awful program from Microsoft, known as Games for Windows Live.

  • My computer didnt cost me $10k like yours and it can run 3 monitors at 120fps.... unlike your fail mac pro 8fps

  • @TheKazable Yes it runs so much better on my PC but the Mac Pro is not really a games machine

  • @TheKazable Macs are for professionals that have jobs and actually do work.

  • @TheKazable because the Mac Pro is not a game machine but a work station. I think if you wanna buy a computer for play games, you must buy a ps3 or xbox or wii

  • @TheKazable The reason it is slow is because of the GPU is not the newest, but it it easily uppgradeable!

  • @ForTuxinet Yes waiting for Apple to release new 79XX cards!

  • @TheKazable You should change it to $7k because the 3 apple monitors are real awesome... the Mac Pro is a little bit expensive though.

  • @TheKazable displays cost about 2k each soo...

  • I've got a second monitor hooked up to my iMac 2.66Ghz but can't get the second view on my left monitor, has anyone done this on an iMac with addtl monitor? When I expand the x-plane view to cover both monitors (as nickmurray22 does here at 2:05) it just makes everything larger and doesn't give a separate view on the left) thanks for any help!

  • why would you spend so much money on a Mac?

  • why do you need 3 screens?

  • @13TeNNiStA13 Why not? The more screens the better : )

  • woooow oddio che spettacolo !!! detto da mac user 

  • NICE FRAME RATE!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im so jelly! but seriously? no joystick? c'mon dude....... get in the loop

  • @oldmanjoe67 I do have one I was just pack away for this vid : )

  • you get a 12 cores of processing with a ati 5870 l0l waste of money

  • Very low frame rate.... = MAC G5....

  • I like the idea of dragging it over all 3 screens. That's very cool. But I wouldnt say it's playable, it's workable but not smooth enough to be playable.

  • where did you get that desk table i want one its very fascinating lol

  • Comment removed

  • Where did you get the wallpaper on the far left monitor?

  • @mattdub07 It is one of my own photos. You are welcome to a copy if you wish.

  • some ppl just don't know where with money

  • Hmmmm. How much did you spend on a system that cant run xplane smothly in eyefinity3? What if i told you i built a PC that can run in 7680x1600 (3 30" displays at 1600p) at 60fps for 4000 including monitors, 7.1 stereo, 2 bluray burners, keyboard and many other accessories? You'd easily spend 2x as much trying to do that with an apple logo. Apple users: wake up.

  • @kwrinn67226 Please email me about it..I'd love to know. I build flight simulators for a living and am working on a multi-monitor system which will have 6 x 27" for the exterior visuals and 4 x 22" for the instruments. I'm trying to figure out how to do this with either 2 MTH2G or two ATI cards.

  • A Mac Pro with 3 5970s and 3 Cinema HD Displays (30-inch) would be really sweet! Too bad I only have a i7 MacBook Air and a Core Duo Mac Mini.

  • What happens if you open say assassins creed in full screen. would you have the option for the resolution of all 3 monitors or only the one. like what eyefinity does.

  • money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money...

  • I WANTED YOU TO CRASH!

  • Wow, that's sick! That's a load of money sitting on and below your desk ˆˆ About that table, Ikea, really? I was there the other day (Netherlands) but no such tables and defo no LED's under it :)

  • @DJGahann Yes the lights are DIODER LEDs that you stick under Galant glass top table.

  • You bought this table at the ikea?

  • You spend all that money on a Mac Pro and three monitors but you dont even have a joystick?

  • Can I sync 3 Mac pro 12 cores's and play with out any lag I know it sounds kinda stupid but maybe a person who has cash to blow and likes flight sims can do it. :)

  • okay... now try Crysis 2.

  • Funkey table!!

  • Did anyone say... SKIPPING!! Seemed like 3FPS at best. A good educational video. ;)

  • dude, where did you get that table???

  • @scuzbagMRTHRFCKR Ikea! : )

  • @nickmurray22 Ikea is awesome

  • @nickmurray22 Sweden FTW ;:D

  • @nickmurray22 Ikea from Sweden! :D just like me ;)

  • ballin

  • Now he can be that one guy in the matrix who sits at the computer with like 6 monitors! LOL

  • Running this type of setup on 2 crossfire 6970 cards from AMD is simply amazing! Sadly Its a pain in the ass for mac, so im stuck with flight simulator X =(

    good review!

  • Got pixels?

  • I like Your Table It changes Colors.

  • Get a GTX 590, it plays metro 2033 at around 40 FPS at a resolution of 2560x1600 at high quality with 3xAA, or 80 FPS on lost planet 2 at 2560x1600. With this card, I can't think of a better system.

  • @CasualYoutuification There is no Mac version of the GTX 590 yet or AMD 69xx for that matter : ( I guess you could use them in Windows mode but then you may as well also just get a PC for that matter...

  • where did you get it and as it hard to install them?

  • Nice demo.

Why not use a Matrox TripleHead2Go instead? I believe it can use one card to fill 3 monitors. It is compatible with Mac, but would probably generate more resolution if you boot up in Windows (instead of Mac OS). It also incorporates bevel management to make the monitors more realistic.

  • @southnc63 The Triplehead2go loads all three screen onto one card and requires that card to support the resolution of all three screen acting as one. It can work but is very slow and no good for games.

  • beast setup!

  • how mcuh are the 3 screens?plus the work bench with the LED? and the upgradin to your computer and can u post your specs please thanks:)

  • @UnRealClutchhGaming The LED CD screen about about $1,000 each, the glass desktop and LED's were about $230.

    My Mac Pro is a 12 Core (24 thread) 2.93 Ghz Xeon, with 64 GB RAM and 3 x 3TB harddisk + 1 x 512 SSD. It has 2 x 5870 video cards and a RAID card.

  • You need at least 24 fps to have a smooth gameplay on flight simulators. Yours is 10 fps below.

  • Wow! Your rich!

  • are you using an headcam? it seem's like it

  • @AlexMacFan Yes but I need to learn to hold my head still : )

  • Heaven? lol

  • yes what are those glowing lights on your desk?

  • @TheMatey1 That is IKEA workstation Galant glass top with the DIODER LED kit

  • Awesome setup man! Nice vid!

  • why would you put the more powerful card on only one display and leave two whole screens to the less powerful one??

  • @zoop426 Good point, I should switch them and see how X-Plane runs then. The reason why it is set up this way is because most games I play are single screen so want the performance of the 5870

  • What are the glowing lights on your desk?

  • Since I got a TrackIR 5 my envy/need for a 3 screen setup has been drastically reduced. Plus I get to keep my framerate.

  • Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated. Just one other question, what graphics cards are you using and how did you go about connecting the displays? Did you have any issues with loss of resolution?

  • @andy07cole ATI HD 5770 for the outside screens and ATI HD 5870 for middle screen. If I flip this and move the two outsides to the more powerful card this game would run faster however I like having the powerful card on my main screen.

  • did you take the pedestals off the cinema displays? are you using some sort of screen mount? thanks in advance!

  • @andy07cole Yes pedestals removed and all three screen mounted on 2 x ultraview desk mounts.

  • argh its so choppy

  • Thank you, the camera is a Go Pro Hero HD and the desk with the lights is a IKEA GALANT Glass top with the T-legs, cable management and the DIODER LED kit. : )

  • very nice setup man! wat kind of camera are u using? also wat kind of color-changing LED's are under ur desk? it looks awesome!
