I love the garden! I am so surprised for how little you had planted how much you actually got! I can only hope that from my garden beds :) how did you like the blue lake variety? I tested this year with a lot of different bean varieties, and I am not sure which i like best. did it produce well? put out a lot of fruit then stop? good bad? anything? thanks!
@MIgardener There were some other varieties in there that I direct seeded that plants were much stronger, healthier, larger, and produced more. So this year I am trying to get into direct seeding everything.
awesome. you can ripen the corn by cutting off the tops, the little tree part on top of the plant, forget its name.
What area are you in? From your surroundings I would guess the southwest. And your plants are farther along so must be warmer where you live. My corn is not ready yet.
I like the raised beds. I have all raised beds this year, too. Works great.
your garden beds are very well established : ) This spring I started way too many garden beds at once, and the lawn keeps reclaiming them. All my time for weeding it out in the past month has been taken by an insane strawberry harvest : )
@Helioforge I helped an aunt build a raised bed on top of lawn. Before filling the bed I put a couple layers of card board down. It worked like a charm. No grass.

@MIgardener Those bean plants were the first beans I had ever planted so I have no point of reference. But, I would say that they produced a lot.
