I see nothing in this video where he says we need to force control on anyone. If everyone just limited their children to two or less voluntarily, the problem would be solved. We hear a lot about China now using as much energy as the USA.. Fact is per head China uses around a quarter of the energy used by the USA. I do not advocate the use of oil.. But . we extract only 35% from most oil fields.. leaving 65% under the ground for tecnical reasons. Eventually that oil will be a resource.
I suggest to read something about the expected costs and extra energy needed to extract the remaining 65%. Assuming, that it really was possible to replace all the resources needed to supply the current world population using future scientific methods by alternatives and better management: Where would leave us that in just 50 years, when world population will have redoubled once more? I say, to assume, that god will provide, no matter how many we are, is foolish blind faith.

I see nothing in this video where he says we need to force control on anyone. If everyone just limited their children to two or less voluntarily, the problem would be solved. It isn't going to be a conspiracy that will solve the problem. There are many examples in nature where overpopulation of a species had been dealt with by natural means, usually with a mass die off of the species. One does not need to be a prophet to see what's going on. Demand for oil goes up 2% every year because more people want cars, TV and air condition. And the times of cheap oil are over - forever. We all either need to consume less every year or stop having so many babies, probably both. How come, that most educated people are for birth control, while religious and ignorant ones are strictly against it? - a violation of human rights (which stands against the right for children to have a future)
- against god's will: "be fruitful and multiply" and "unnatural" (irrational)

As the country's oil reserves are in decline, it has become highly dependent on oil imports. (Iraq?) Without oil, more land is needed to grow the same amount of food. However, with 76%, practically all arable land in the UK is already in use. Your country is in serious troubles.

You misjudge me grossly. I am doing my maths: The absolute minimum amount of land (if it is very fertile) needed to sustain a person is: 1,500 m2. (that would be 2,000 m2 for the UK). Population density per km2 of ARABLE land: 310. That is 3,200 m2 available per person. A quarter of the land always needs to recover and can not be used to produce. = 2,400 m2 to produce food. Therefore the limit is: 74 million people fighting for sheer survival, sometimes on the poorest soil.

Yes, people used to have their own land and did grow their own food. And they used to have 5 children or more and they did have to send some of them away to the city, because the land could not feed so many. Think about this. We all know that there are efforts at the highest levels, especially in the US and it's foundations, but in many other countries too, that the world population needs to be reduced. The studies on animals given GM are showing a high rate of sterility... Monsanto is tightly linked with governments and international interests as is clearly shown by the fact it keeps getting approved by govs yet the citizens don't want it. I bet £100 that sterility rates throughout the world go up
