  • sounds like the diesel plate i used today at work

  • is that thing used for towing trucks that are stuck in snow?

  • lame.

  • murdered out

  • To me it sounds like a Kubota

  • that must weigh a ton

  • it's sound like our car.....

  • @psychosocal96 To me, the Diesel engine sounds very Japanese!

  • do you think that diesel engine would fit in my 308 pound yamaha enticer 250

  • it sounds like a damm tractor

  • I want one badly!!!

  • what's the top speed

  • dude are your high? ofcourse they make diesels.

  • well you can still buy them at Northern Tool for about $5,000

  • yes they do look them up they are Vanguards

  • Its made by Briggs and Stratton vanguard for diahtsu. It's a Briggs

  • Haha, in the old days there were many diesel-engine that wouldnt start cause of the weather. I´ve been driving diesels for all my life and i promise that there´s no problems starting a diesel in very very low temps. A very important thing is the "glow-plugs". My old, 1987, Mercedes had some problems starting. But i just changed the plugs and it was like a new engine at 600 000 kilometers. Starting way below 20 degrees CELCIUS. Its all about the plugs.

  • its a briggs 3 cylinder and it starts just fine in the cold

  • they probably just have really hot glow plugs. I mean so many diesels work in the cold. I dont see why people are acting like we are in the stone age and havent figured out how to use diesels in the cold LOL.

Great looking sled, i love seeing diesels everywhere, they are very practical and efficient engines.

  • @jacobennis Yeah, I was wondering about that, then saw your statement. Because most diesels aren't too well known for their cold weather starting abilities.

  • @HunterXray Diesels in the 80's weren't good in the cold, now they all have little things called GLOW PLUGS which makes them start easily even at -35 degrees celcius !

  • what kind of diesel is in sled? and yes I agree probably wouldnt start if below zero unless sufficiently heated.

  • @jjhays36

The only fuel I would put in there is 34CP ulds(arctic grade diesel)

  • @flyrock45 Near the Arctic circle here and ULDS is crap in cold weather. Would have to put a anti-gel for sure but a diesel runs alot cooler than a combustion engine and it might never warm up to a proper temp . At -40 I think you would have to have it in a heated bldg before you could start it or at the least block heaters. Still cool, but not ideal for up here.

  • really cool but it wouldnt start to well if it was cold
