With regard to the driver having involvment & stopping to keep JFK in the firing line, I guess I'd have a problem at stopping a car so various people could shoot into the car from different locations... that would take courage. However, if he knew nothing of the assassination plans & knew he took a bullet through the windscreen he might have paused for a second to decide the best course of action.

Wouldn't you choose the direct shot AT Kennedy as he approaches you... over a shot where he's moving away at increasing speed, with a human body between you and the target ?
