This was a great shift in the game's dynamic. Give you a four player party, let you tear ass around the area and gain confidence. Then, give you an unexpected challenging (w/out grinding) boss fight, where you're not only down a man, but fighting him with your reduced party. SUAJ:G makes light of a lot of JRPG conventions, but they nailed this one, at least. XD
