  • What exactly is the appointment letter? Is it the one you print form the CAS website that is three pages long?

  • @fersen77 Yup, that's it!

  • Hi karo.... One more question, I have my asc appt. The 22nd. I'm arriving in Mexico city the 19th. I'm trying to figure out what flight to take. I was thinking aerobus but I'm hearing that they change the flight times or cancel them. If I do the medical exam the 21st would that be ok? What airline do you recommend ? I'm Srry about all the questions but this is my first time going to Mexico guess I'm really nervous..... Thank you sooooo much !!!!

  • I have to be in Juarez Feb.20. I'm taking a plane from Mexico city to ciudad Juarez. Is the cab drive to hotel ibis safe??? I'm really worried ..what did you think about the drive from the airport to the hotel? Thank you so much :) lauri

  • @vargas321hern Hi lauri, the drive form the airport to the hotel is pretty safe, they have a cab service inside the airport so you pay and then they assign you a cab outside, so they are all part of a company - don't worry about it. And then everything is walking distance (consulate and medical), so you only have to take one cab to go back to the airport and you can ask the hotel to call one for you...

  • @vargas321hern My only recommendation is don´t go outside by yourself at night. Daytime is fine, I felt pretty safe walking around the area and even went to eat to a mall that is crossing the pedestrian bridge... Best of luck!!!!!!

  • ughh i have to be in juarez by monday i live in southern california and to be honest im scared =/!! any tips advice thanx

  • @BoneCrusherJiuJitsu I was pretty scared too, but I can tell you that I had imagined the city to be a lot worse than it actually is, just don't go wonder by yourself at night and you'll be fine; in regards to the visa process, it's fairly simple; the medical exam is tedious but nothing to worry about and the people at the consulate are super nice and everything goes smooth... Relax!! And I wish you the best of luck!!! :)

  • @karolandin wow a complete stranger just made me feel better =) thank you..i have a question about the ''sita'' what do they ask you what should i expect..did you get the penalty if so how long?? thanks for the reply very appriciated..

  • @BoneCrusherJiuJitsu I'm glad I could make you feel better!! :) The interview?? Well it's painless, they just asked me how did I meet my fiancé, what did he do, what were our long term plans, basically that... I'm not sure what you mean by "the penalty", I was applying for a K1 visa so I don't know we have any penalties... Are you applying for the same kind of visa?

  • @karolandin they said i have to be penalized for been in the u.s illegaly my sister had to stay in mexico for like to weeks before she was allowed to re-enter the u.s but this was like 6 years ago..do you happend to know about that??

  • Hey im wondering what u mean by invitation letter? I dont have that ...where do i get it n wat is it....or just with the appt. letter is fine?

  • @luciaecastanon Well, my fiancé got it in the mail and it said something like I could schedule my appointment in the Juárez consulate... It's pretty simple, but they did ask for it a couple times... The appointment letter is the one confirming your appointment at the consulate, but you print that... You should have both... I hope this helped!! :S

  • @karolandin Hi Karol. Do you know if the consulate asks for the form DS-157 and the DS-158? Thanks :)

  • Gracias JSalcano.

  • Thank you very much. Can you please do one in Spanish for my fiancé in Mexico. She has her interview appointment in a month and I'm sure she would feel a lot more comfortable hearing your story in Spanish. Thanks.
