unit 1 is set asside from the rest becasue of the intence connection of the mothers love it holds twards shinji -due to his mothers soul being inside of it- becasue of this, the sync ratio between shinji and unit one is abnormally high. theres ALOT more to do with the story but explaining all of it would take hours, i just wanted to say that about unit one and shinji lol =3

and unit one has part of adam, all of the evas are based off him, unit one dose have adam parts in it as far as i remember

Love the Anime, and it goes Great with Sabbith (dunno why it's only Shinji and Unit 01 though, the other Evas should have SOME static)

Oh and throwing out another little theory, Yui Ikari's soul is in 00 and was later split in half to be used in 01, which is why Rei and Shinji are both capable of piloting it, and possibly why 00 seemed to go after Rei and unit 01 Threw that Beam at Gendo after saving Shinji in the first Episode.

AND why Gendo was talking to 01 when Kowaru came around.

Incorrect. Only units 00 and 02 are based on adam. Unit 01 is the sole eva based on lilith. And, they don't contain each respective mother's dna, they contain their souls. It's hard to explain, but the Eva's are actually living, and the armor that surrounds them is only being used for restriction, to keep the beast that dwells within inside the Eva. Great AMV btw!
