@grapebusted You really need to get to know the culture before you make such foul judgments. This art is actually a kickboxing art and was one of the main predesessors to capoeira.
@TheBanditghettoninja Any fighting style without effective combinations and defense is worthless. This only requires will. Skill is not involved here, other than simple reflex.
@grapebusted I'm sorry but you're not making any sense. A technique is only effective when someone knows how to use it. Like I mention before just because you can do the fancy moves of capoeira doesn't mean you know how to use them in a fight.
I don't think much of capoeira as a fighting style either. It involves agility and balance, but no skill, defense, effective offense. It's cool "dancing" and all, though.
@grapebusted You obviously never seen capoeira as effective as it is. People who actually says its not effective because they have no SKILL in the fighting art. The people who missed used the art bitch about how ineffective it is. Just because someone knows the fancy moves doesn't mean they know the fight.
@TheBanditghettoninja Perhaps you're right. But given the fundamental concept of "efficiency", I'd have to say that many moves in capoeira are not at all efficient. They have a high risk-to-win ratio IMO. Anyhow, I just like debating online with people. I'm a "troll" if you will. I don't know much about capoeira honestly, unless you count having seen a few movies and playing as Eddy Gordo in Tekken :)
What an unrefined, savage "art."
