Metal gear 2:solid snake is the second game.Now because hideo was not creating the nes MG.Those don't count as a MG game. Hideo Kojima renamed the title to Metal Gear Solid because he he named it MG3,the people in the use will be confused.

I am a hardcore MGS fan and I completely agree that this game sucks. Hell, even Hideo "The God" Kojima thinks so himself. The true Metal Gear for me was the one on MSX. That was an AWESOME game. You can say anything you want about the NES version but if you say that the MSX version sucks in front of me I will punch you in the face.

AVGN, I'm pretty sure with the password system: The reason the passwords are so long is because each different password has to pull a bunch of information and gamestates from the game, which is also why they are always jumbled letters and numbers. This seems logical to me, anyway.

Funny thing is we should be thankful to the MG NES team because they asked Kojima to make a true sequel to Metal Gear, so he did and we are, Metal Gear is a gaming household name!
