In the 60's, LP's only allowed a certain amount of minutes per side. If you went longer, the sound quality got weaker per song. So they did the right thing by keeping it short, in my opinion.
@1280ardd There's at LEAST 3 Mellotron lines in this! It's nearly all Mellotron except the bas drums & vocals. Even that banjo piece in the middle is all mellotron. And those mellotron flutes at the end can be found at the beginning of, "Phenominal Cat", by The Kinks.
That whisting reminds me of ''The Andy Griffith Show''....this also have bit of incidental music called ''The Bus''....very spooky sounding track, John Lennon and Ringo Starr put together the tape loops.
Beatles, sounding as if YOKO herself was at the helm, take you downnnnn into the CHILL rooom. The 9:38 version looks like pix of post war britian arial bombardments- that or WINTER, i don't know...
What if they had it included in the album just like this??
