every style has a weakness and strengh, i know mma is a mix so it has twice as many strenghs and weaknesses, having said that train enough in one certain style your going to be overall better then someone who knows a dozen different styles, u just have to know the other styles weaknesses and have something to take on those weaknesses

You people need to realize with all the shooting and the bashing one thing is clear that Adkins will always have the ability but Van Damme will always have the Experience. From watching his movies for the past decade and so on, I have seen that Van Damme has always found a way to rise above in the most difficult and unimaginable situations. As for his age well everyone grows old. And also I prefer Van Damme's acting which has matured quite a lot compared to that of Adkins.

You know what I immediately noticed? The hold that Scott Adkins puts Van Damme in on 1:38 is the same exact hold that Dexter put Doaks in in the first season of Dexter. Overall, not the best fight scene I've seen but definately a good one in it's own right.

Its been known in the martial arts community for 20 years that whilst van damme is technically very good - HE CANT ACTUALLY FIGHT- Some top british Karate guys ran accross him in Holland and found that out during sparring.

Haha, there is no way Van Damme could defeat Scott! Not in his age! Scott has to much power and is to fast for Van Damme. I remember in an Isaac Florentine interview, he talked about how Scott said to Van Damme to kick him in the chest as hard as he can. Van Damme didn't want to do it first. But after Scott said him it's no problem, Van Damme did it. And Scott wasn't hurt at all. There is no way Van Damme can beat Scott in his age now!

@PathGrinder Van Damme in his prime would take Adkins in his prime. Adkins is a lot more flash, but VD has insane power..his build was bigger than Adkins (check out his early work)...not to mention the man was virtually undefeated in real life martial arts competitions

Van Damme could never beat Scott in a real fight. Maybe when he was younger, but no way now! Scott has to much power and is way to fast for VD. Nothing against Van Damme, he had a few good old action movie's but his newer movie's were mostly all bad. He became a better actor, thats true, but he can't make great action or martial arts movie's anymore!

JVCD really can't act peeps! Better than a lot, but over-hyped! It don't matter how many successful actors he's worked with, each actor/actress project themselves on-screen differently in reference towards the character they're supposedly emphasizing upon. JVCD isn't a great actor because he always plays himself! A great actor doesn't bar themselves to a certain character all the time like JVCD & when playing a role, actors/actresses must convey every aspect of a character from script to screen!

You know what I immediately noticed? The hold that Scott Adkins puts Van Damme in on 1:38 is the same exact hold that Dexter put Doaks in in the first season of Dexter. Overall, not the best fight scene I've seen but definately a good one in it's own right.

Does anyone know that van damme trained as a ballet dancer?
Its been known in the martial arts community for 20 years that whilst van damme is technically very good - HE CANT ACTUALLY FIGHT- Some top british Karate guys ran accross him in Holland and found that out during sparring.
But I wont knock any actor. If they can get paid for what they do when at any one time 90% of them arn't working then I say fair play to them!

It's like van damme vs. seagal. seagal has black belts in aikido, judo, karate, kendo, and is skilled in escrima and wing chun. but van damme is much more athletic. so they're equally impressive in different ways. i like to compare gary daniels to scott adkins the same way. adkins is more athletic, but daniels is more experienced.

That was not too bad of a fight scene, but the rest of the film was so disappointing, I didn't even get to that point. It's nice to finally see it, but it doesn't redeem the whole film which was very lackluster.
