I really, REALLY think that Fugazi was doing demo's before 182 could humanly understand what music was. Plus, you gotta remember that Guy and Ian we're part of the old Minor Threat scene. Oh, a side note: I saw Brendan's name on the music director credits on a History Channel historical military documentary. I'm pretty sure that wasn't a coincidence 'cuz I heard him say recently he was doing all kinds of different stuff for movies and TV and such. Such creative guys, all 4 of 'em. Guy RULES!!!
Yes, they are all doing different things now. However the chances of them ever making another album look pretty slim and they're on an indefinite hiatus. Ian Mackaye is in a band called the Evens and they've released two albums. Guy Picciotto works mainly as a producer now and has worked on albums by the Blood Brothers and the Gossip. He also played on the last Vic Chesnutt album and toured with him. Brendan Canty played drums on the last couple of Bob Mould albums.
Picciotto also recorded the first wave of Blonde Redhead albums, including Misery is a Butterfly which was their commercial breakthrough. & he is always collaborating with other bands.
i have a harder time finding good guitarists (bass player) everyone around here is powerchord monkeys, i do have a good drummer (ironically named brendan) and me and him have slap-bass jams constantly
I know you didn't just say Blink 182 influenced Fugazi. Fugazi was a band b4 Blink 182 every thought about it so know you're shit b4 you speak kthxbye
please, save the music industry fellers, from this bleak, perfectly shiny, over produced finely packaged wasteland of spineless posers and rich kids. come back and do what you do.
I think because they had done some song with a drum machine and they needed another drummer to duplicate that part, and well also Jerry Busher ( the other drummer ) has the right kind of haircut for the band.
The second drummer is Jerry Busher.Fugazi started messing around with two drummers around the time of their last album "The Argument". He also started touring with them. kinda cool that they were constantly trying out new things rythymically right up until the end. RIP.
They are still together. Ian is with the Evens, Lally is doing a side project, Guy is being Guy and Brendan is being a new dad. Rumor has it that they are getting together for a new album late summer, early fall. Fugazi is alive and well!
that would be great, Fugazi is sort of like the Harry Potter of music, with Rob Thomas being the Voldermort. But seriously I would love to a new fugazi album, then they might be touring as well, I love their shows.
he has toured with them for awhile as a roadie/sound guy (you can see him in the "instrument" video). i saw fugazi live in 1999 and he played second drums on some of the songs off of "end hits".
Wasn't it 1997 when they had the two drummers on the End Hits tour? They're with Blonde Redhead, I seen them at a free show at Kent then the next day in Cleveland.
oh sick this song is bellissima

Cool original band. Kind of reminds me of Mars Volta before the Mars Volta.

Explain your logic. I see 5 different gentleman there with possibly 5 different haircuts. :)

oh it was just a joke, since joe and ian are kind of bald, and so is jerry busher.

Lally has been bals since he hit puberty.
Ian just has a weak hairline.

"end hits" came out in 1998, but i'm sure they performed some of the songs that ended up on the album, so they very well might have had two drummers.
