  • I find the talk about antisemitism in the Netherlands very interesting, in particular, since I may move there in the near future. Now, I am neither Jewish nor Dutch, but from Germany. The Netherlands used to be an example for tolerance and multiculturalism. Since the murder of van Gogh, the tide seems to be turning.

  • @bhigr Re: Antisemitism. I think one should make a difference between harmless prejudices in relation to people, like: "I don't like French because they are so arrogant"; "I don't like Germans, because they have no sense of humour"; "I don't like Italians, because they are corrupt"...One can dislike people but nevertheless respect them as human beings. Prejudices really becomes a problem, when the humanity of people is disputed, when this basic respect is not offered to them.

  • Fiamma Nirenstein finished on a very sad note: that the linchpin of the European left (not just more radical left, but all left) is antisemitism. And she gave plenty of examples.

If one knows history of Europe, this is not surprising. But very sad.

  • Bravo for taxi drivers!

I found the same thing talking to taxi drivers in Tel Aviv. They know so much more than all the politicians, diplomats, academics, "peace-makers," specialists, conflict-resolutioners and the rest of that crowd.

  • The same questioner should also read Bat Ye'Or's book "Eurabia" before calling on her about "Protocols of the Elders of Brussels." She never said it was a conspiracy theory, she never said it was hidden (absolute requirement for it to be a conspiracy)

But even conspiracy theories can be true. Perhaps she is right.

I don't know, I haven't read her book. But what if she is right. She showed some papers with word "Eurabia" on them. Let's see If these are true papers and what they say.

  • The questioner has the nerve to say, "Politicians are not antisemites, they are just looking for a Muslim vote."

I guess those who put Jews into gas chambers were also not antisemites, they were just doing their job. And the slave ship owners were not racists, they just were doing business buying slaves in Africa to transport them to America.

Let's be clear on one thing: antisemitism is antisemitism for what ever reason. No excuses. Same with racism.

  • I wish Manfred Gerstenfeld were right when he said Israel is 60 years ahead of Europe. Unfortunately, in Israel, the ghetto Jew who is sure that others will be nice to him if only he is nice has had a major celebration over the past 20 years. The result - the 2nd intifada, with its thousands of dead. Only now, with the 2nd Netanyahu government, we are beginning to see some pullout of this "peace" madness.

  • Israel, like Europe, America, Canada, etc. is lickign that Muslim ass. Licking very deeply. Have no doubt about it.

"Muddling through." To what? To eventual triumph of Taliban Islam? No. Even death is better.

  • From "What right have Muslims to claim moral superiority?" by Mary Ann Sieghart (The Times, July 20, 2006).

"Between half and two thirds of British Muslims claimed that Westerners were selfish, arrogant, violent, greedy and immoral. Even Pakistanis living in Pakistan were less likely to say this than British Muslims, and German, French and Spanish Muslims had a markedly less jaundiced view of Westerners.

    (cont.)

  • (cont. from article)

"Meanwhile, British non-Muslims were among the least likely of all Westerners in the countries surveyed to attribute those negative characteristics to Muslims. We were also among the most likely to say that Muslims were devout, honest, generous and tolerant."

It is not a coincidence that these two attitudes - British Muslims' towards Westerners and British Westerners towards Muslims - are opposed. This is the Shadow in action.

  • Fiamma, please don't offend cannibals by comparing them to Ahmadinejad.
