i really like the choreogrophy in this dance, it definately portrays a story with the song..kayla is amazing and can do anything thats thrown at her, she should have won.
Brian came back to choreograph just for her? Wow. That doesn't seem fair. Wouldn't he already know her dance vocabulary, what she's capable of, and create a dance that shows her in her best light? That doesn't seem fair, unless every other dancer gets the same privilege. She is shaping up to be a judge's favorite in more ways than one.
That's speculation, but other dancers have relationships with the choreographers. Max was Louis student for years. Many of the contemporary dancers come from the competition/convention circuit and have worked with them before. The dance world is extremely small just like andrewthedancer stated previously.
So Ade has danced with Kayla, Kayla has worked as Brian Friedman's assistant, Mia worked with Ade, Danny, Travis, & Jaimie before the show.Lauren was Tyce's assistant & on & on. You know what I just realized? So many in SYTYCD have known each other through these competitions for years. It makes me more impressed that Josh won last year, an outsider who had not worked with any of the choreographers he got. Yes, he went to D. Allen summer intensives as a kid, but she didn't judge or choreo.
You need to realize the dance world is small and good dancers are bound to have worked with good choreographers/other good dancers who happen to be on the SYTYCD panel.
this is amazing! did you compete this at nuvo? why is there a live band? was this at the faculty showcase? i am so confused. ahah i went to nuvo in santa clara....

I think Kayla was the most deserving out of everyone! She has the drive for it, but she will go far even tho she didnt win....
