While they're good actors, I would've preferred Danny Trejo as Bane. Not only is is he physically capable, he voices the character on Young Justice. Plus, he is BA enough for Bane. Kate Beckinsale as Catwoman would've been a great choice, considering she wanted the role and we've seen her in a cat suit. Just my personal thoughts. Good video, btw.

and i have heard that they might put some unused footage of Heath Ledger from the Dark Knight. I also would like at the end of the 3rd movie to have credits then have the saying 'Riddle me this riddle me that." With the Riddler sitting in a chair with his face being in the dark.

Don't get me wrong, I like Anne Hathaway as an actress but in my opinion, I just dont see her doing a good Catwoman...would rather see Milla Jovovich, Rachel Weisz, or Keira Knightley but thats just me...Anne Hathaway has just been in way too many girly movies so Im not sure, when the movie comes out hopefully she will prove me wrong

alon aboutboul will play a mad scientist in the film. Anyone else think he might be behind the venom derivative in nolan's version? It would then make sense to have him play Hugo Strange because he made the Monster serum, which has similar effects to Venom. I only saw Anne Hathaway in Brokeback Mountain but I liked her. I think it's a really good idea that Christopher Nolan brought this villain up. This will be one of the toughest villains that batman will have to really out think Bane since Bane is intelligent and to face off. I hope he's not like in Batman and Robin that was just terrible. Tom Hardy as Bane is a master stroke. If you've seen his unsettlingly brilliant performance in Bronson then it makes perfect sense. Wonder if they are going to make him do a Spanish accent and wether it would work. . .

I think so because: a) Marion Cotillard will most likely be playing Talia Al Ghul, and that fits into the deception aspect of the league of shadows if she pretends to be someone else, b) Coming off Inception, I'm sure Levitt's role would be bigger, c1) He looks like the Joker, c2) The joker has enough money to where he could get the scars on his face fixed, d) If Knightfall is actually the storylin
Well personally i really hope they dont butcher bane like the film adaption of Batman and Robin. There they made Bane seem unintelligent and even incapable of speech. When in actuality Bane was percieved not only strong but smart, i mean real mastermind freaky smart, and Bane was a complex character in his own way as well. I think pinguin and the riddler would deserve a fourth chapter, maybe "The fallen of the Bat". I am sure we will see some scene with the Joker at Arkham Asylum in this next one. The Dark Knight is a word game (The dark night) so, the dark knight rises is such a concept... sunrise / night. Anyway I agree with your arguments and I think Nolan can not fail at this point. TDKR will be pure fun and maybe will bring some reflexions about justice by own hand, torture, terrorism and democracy
@heartbirthbysleep I honestly doubt that we'll see the venom in this movie unless it's taken by injection because there would've been something referencing it in the first Bane picture, like a tube or a possible hole in the should for the tube...
Me personally, Riddler (the guy from the Fantastic 4 movies MoHahn) and Freeze (Howie Mandel). But I think that if he sticks with just catwomen and Bain then it'll be like the first film. Bain being the "main" villain (raz al goel) and catwomen being the secondary (Scarecrow).
Hey Silver, that's a nicely balanced assessment of the WIP you made :-) I agree with most points you made, especially about the two villains performing different functions in the plot.
Catwoman is a trickster-hero type, and with Rachel Dawes out the picture could double as a love interest, whilst Bane could definitely be regarded as a nemesis for Bruce Wayne.
The latter actually gives me the creeps, looking at the image on the site. If Nolan follows through with the events of Knightfall, Hard

In Batman&Robin, he was just some dumb, 2-ton behemoth that took orders from Uma Thurman. If the real Bane is anything like you say, then Schumacher KILLED him. Truly, he was robbed. And so, I'm glad he'll finally be vindicated.

this is greattt greattt commentary....i feel exactly how you feel about the progress of the batman trilogy and everything you said from heath being cast to talking about the villains in this new film and their casting....i too am ecstatic for this and am a deciple (dont know if i spelled that right or not) of Christopher Nolan....his worst movie to me was Insomnia and that movie was really good its just that all his others were AMAZINGGGG...with the dark knight at the very top of his list

As for Anne Hathaway being cast as Selena Kyle...yes, the same things were said when it was announced that Heath Ledger would be the Joker...everybody was like "No way..not gonna work" but those same people said "Oh, Heath's Joker was the best ever!!...he deserves an Oscar"

damn, thanks for that, i did not know bane was that complex. The Batman and Robin with Clooney really messed up the character and made him to be a silent dump brute. Can not wait to see this interpretation of Bane. Anne Hathaway should not be in this, I would be constantly asking why is she in this movie when i watch it. I think she might ruin it. I haven't seen her in anything that I liked thus far, but who knows, she could surprise us.

I admit, I am still skeptical about Tom Hardy as Bane. He is a terrific actor, but he's not an exceptionally tall guy though. I saw pictures of him in Warrior, so he is totally on the right track, physique-wise, but I hope they depict him in a way that makes him look physically imposing, or emphasize his acting to compensate for his height if they don't use camera angles.

I thought the penguin could have been an interesting villain because instead of him being a crime boss or a disgusting psychopath (like Danny Devito version) he could have been a politician trying to bring down batman. Maybe he could of been the boss of Bane in this movie, or at least the who pulls the strings to get Bane released from prison to take down Batman while he stirs medials hatred for batman by being the concerned politican or mayor of Gotham.

I think Mr Freeze should be Nolanized too. I think Patrick Stewart should be casted as him. He has a shakesperian way of acting. I could see him all blue and in a mech suit. That would be awesome.

Couldn't agree more. Nolan couldn't have picked a better pair of villains. The casting is perfect as well. "Nolanized"? I guess that means more reality based. Have you seen the interview with Aaron Eckhart where he insinuates that Two-Face may actually be in the movie? Then you also have Gary Oldman stating that the main villain will be from the early days of the comics. This could all be a misinformation campaign but it's interesting.

This sounds so amazing. First wonderful choice for Catwoman she is gona be great. Now on the topic of Bane for a long time I had a gut feeling that it was going to be him, however I will admit I to was hoping for the Riddler but these two will do. One we have a person who can use theatrical tactics against Batman. Two we now finally have a charicter who can match Batman both mentally and physically.
Lastly I'm not worried about this film caus Nolan knows how to use more then one villain.

I think Vin Diesal would have been a better Bane. he's more buff. But if Hardy's character doesn't transform into a bigger Bane at the end of the movie, then only one word comes to mind, LAME!!

Don't get me wrong, I like Anne Hathaway as an actress but in my opinion, I just dont see her doing a good Catwoman...would rather see Milla Jovovich, Rachel Weisz, or Keira Knightley but thats just me...Anne Hathaway has just been in way too many girly movies so Im not sure, when the movie comes out hopefully she will prove me wrong

alon aboutboul will play a mad scientist in the film. Anyone else think he might be behind the venom derivative in nolan's version? It would then make sense to have him play Hugo Strange because he made the Monster serum, which has similar effects to Venom. I only saw Anne Hathaway in Brokeback Mountain but I liked her. Tom hardy is a great choice.

I think it's a really good idea that Christopher Nolan brought this villain up. This will be one of the toughest villains that batman will have to really out think Bane since Bane is intelligent and to face off. I hope he's not like in Batman and Robin that was just terrible. I think so because: a) Marion Cotillard will most likely be playing Talia Al Ghul, and that fits into the deception aspect of the league of shadows if she pretends to be someone else, b) Coming off Inception, I'm sure Levitt's role would be bigger, c1) He looks like the Joker, c2) The joker has enough money to where he could get the scars on his face fixed, d) If Knightfall is actually the storylin

Well personally i really hope they dont butcher bane like the film adaption of Batman and Robin. There they made Bane seem unintelligent and even incapable of speech. When in actuality Bane was percieved not only strong but smart, i mean real mastermind freaky smart, and Bane was a complex character in his own way as well. Im not hoping for a character just like the comic book, just a better all around character then what the Batman and Robin film adaption perceived Bane to be.

I think pinguin and the riddler would deserve a fourth chapter, maybe "The fallen of the Bat". I am sure we will see some scene with the Joker at Arkham Asylum in this next one. Me personally, Riddler (the guy from the Fantastic 4 movies MoHahn) and Freeze (Howie Mandel). But I think that if he sticks with just catwomen and Bain then it'll be like the first film. Bain being the "main" villain (raz al goel) and catwomen being the secondary (Scarecrow).

Hey Silver, that's a nicely balanced assessment of the WIP you made :-) I agree with most points you made, especially about the two villains performing different functions in the plot.
Catwoman is a trickster-hero type, and with Rachel Dawes out the picture could double as a love interest, whilst Bane could definitely be regarded as a nemesis for Bruce Wayne.
The latter actually gives me the creeps, looking at the image on the site. If Nolan follows through with the events of Knightfall, Hard

I agree completely in that I expected Marion Cotillard to play Catwoman. But I'm sure Anne Hathaway will blow us away.
I admit, I am still skeptical about Tom Hardy as Bane. He is a terrific actor, but he's not an exceptionally tall guy though. I saw pictures of him in Warrior, so he is totally on the right track, physique-wise, but I hope they depict him in a way that makes him look physically imposing, or emphasize his acting to compensate for his height if they don't use camera angles.

I thought the penguin could have been an interesting villain because instead of him being a crime boss or a disgusting psychopath (like Danny Devito version) he could have been a politician trying to bring down batman. Maybe he could of been the boss of Bane in this movie, or at least the who pulls the strings to get Bane released from prison to take down Batman while he stirs medials hatred for batman by being the concerned politican or mayor of Gotham.

Couldn't agree more. Nolan couldn't have picked a better pair of villains. The casting is perfect as well. After Tom Hardy's performance in Bronson, how can anyone doubt him as the perfect choice for Bane. I think Anne Hathaway will be the big surprise in this film. Dude you are excellent at selling people to go see this movie. It's like a gift lol. I totally agree. Bane was an excellent choice for a villian and there are so many newbie Batman fans that think the Joker is the only villian that Batman is always at struggle with. OOOOOH BOOOY how clueless they are. Wait till they learn about the man that "broke" the bat. The possibilities with Bane are indeed endless

"Nolanized"? I guess that means more reality based. Have you seen the interview with Aaron Eckhart where he insinuates that Two-Face may actually be in the movie? Then you also have Gary Oldman stating that the main villain will be from the early days of the comics. This could all be a misinformation campaign but it's interesting.

This sounds so amazing. First wonderful choice for Catwoman she is gona be great. Now on the topic of Bane for a long time I had a gut feeling that it was going to be him, however I will admit I to was hoping for the Riddler but these two will do. One we have a person who can use theatrical tactics against Batman. Two we now finally have a charicter who can match Batman both mentally and physically.
Lastly I'm not worried about this film caus Nolan knows how to use more then one villain.

Bane and Catwoman. Catwoman, i like hear. she is funny cool sexy. she is in many ways the most dangerus. Bane... i have only seen him in the bad Batman and robin movie so i thought he was this Big guy dumb as hell.XD but in The dark knight we had the joker. he had a army. and in Batman Beginns we had Scare crow and that Ninja guy. they both had many helpers. but Catwoman is Single lady. and Bane i gues don't need help. who will have the bad ass helpers whit guns and stuff? this is the last movie
