  • these things backfire to much for my liking. i enjoy a nice pop between shifts but thats a bit excessive

  • most people dont know you have to change the tranny fluid every 18k miles...soo figure that one out

  • looks exactly like my car :D except i have a side exit.. sounds good!

  • Attaching the word srt to a neon doesnt make it fucking cool

  • @SNYDAMAAN Neons are cool :) It's nice knowing that if my neon breaks I can just sell it to the junkyard for a profit

  • @SNYDAMAAN nope. Attatching a 2.4 liter turbo engine with sport-tuned suspension does. And that Aggressive front grille and viper seats. =3 thank you for this startling revelation ; )

  • wicked sound

  • THIS SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE SHIT I TOOK THIS MORNING!!!!! FAIL!!!! I MEAN IT'S A NEON RIGHT??? WHAT THE HELL WAS I EXPECTING??? HA, HA, HA, HA...........

  • @cruise30 i garentee you that neon would eat whatever car u have

  • @srt4slow 1. I dont care who approves or disapproves what you or i have to say. 2. Your comment has had 5 months to accumulate 20 thumbs up, I posted my comment yesterday. What shop do i work for? well its funny you should ask. I've been a mechanic for naval aviation for over four years now and have worked on everything from a 5HP briggs and stratton to a 11,000 ftlb of thrust Pratt & whitney J52-P408 turbojet. Insulting my mechanical knowledge would be a gross oversight on your part.

  • @srt4slow @srt4slow that is the stupidest logic i have ever heard. I have seen multiple upon multiples of people saying how their SRT4's are unreliable and break all the time, but oh no, you have ONE friend that hasnt had any problems so now every other person that has had a problem is a dumbass? c'mon get real. All cars have problems. were talking about a cheap FWD car with a giant turbo and boat loads of power.... what could go wrong?

  • My fiance has a 05 srt4 the only problem that is known to happen with them is the stock piping going to the intercooler factory uses silicone hoses but $200 can get you a set of t6061 aluminum charge pipes that will help the car run cooler and everything

    05 srt4 with 87k short throw, blow off plate, 3' exhaust, C.A.I

  • its hard to find one in good condition, most of them are all modified to hell. svt focus' are easier to maintain, and handle really good. kids buy these cars because they are cheap and fast

  • ive been looking into one buh all i see are spoiled kids that drive em like they are in fast and the furious...im too scared to buy a used one cuz im afraid that ill get tha one that was driven like a retard...buh fuck it sounds good

  • @RastaBear99

dood if you want a fun car that is easier to maintain and is in better conditon(because more kids buy the srt4 cuz they are faster) is a svt focus. I bought one with only 38000 miles! (2003) that was driven by an adult that knew how to drive, and it is loads of fun. it isn't fast off the line like the neon, but it handles better and brakes really good, it feels like you are driving a go car. i added cold air intake and ecu chip and it gives it some good punch.

  • To many kids beat the shit of these cars !!

  • That car sounds good

  • @srt4slow couldnt have said it better myself!!!

  • is it a mopar bov also?

  • @KillerKlown707

    you are a moron.

  • @shaynewilson i dont think he knows about the description.... lol

  • @shaynewilson LOL

  • @KillerKlown707 they are stock pipes lolz

  • i love the sound on the car, but not to talk shit on the car but the neon SRT 4 is shit it breaks down and have many problems... typical american car :/ i now have a mazdaspeed 3 stage 2 and never had a single problem and the car is far from stock

  • @sniper2606 hmm thats funny myself and 5 of my friends own these cars, i have over 100,000 miles and have yet to repair anything and im a spirited driver. They drive theirs daily without any problems as well. im on stock turbo with many mods and a good tune i keep up with stage 3's.

  • @hollow121314 lol same here, at 60k miles myself. The internet is full of clowns and youtube is clown central....the srt4 internet bashing is a great example of group think. bah bah bah go the sheeple.

  • @White05Turbo i know. and i noticed when people are uneducated they can't provide an actual mechanical failure so they use the classic "it breaks down a lot".

  • @sniper2606 ... typical american car you say? and your implying that the mazdaspeed 3 doesnt have a focus zetec 2L in it? hmmm

  • @ndiems69

    pwnt.

  • @sniper2606 typical american? i have a 94 z28 with 500rwhp that i daily drive. it has 97k miles and is driving better than anything ive ever driven. Not one single problem. My radiator had issues last month which i fixed easily. I havnt ever had a major problem with it. ever. Dodge might be a shitty american producer but Chevy is a whole different story. Im not even all about american. I respect all cars and my dream car is an evo.. but comon.

  • @BRUTESH0T spoken like a true car guy...most of the people who have issues with muscle cars, tuner cars whatever have no f'n idea what they are doing and get themselves in trouble. I've owned a mustang, 2 camaros, a chevelle and a SRT4. Never had any major realibilty issues with any of them and none of them were stock.

  • just to say.. my 05 SRT-4 has had 0 problems up to 73k miles.. and it's modded.. 4in FMIC, complete MSD ignition, full exhaust, blowoff, blahblah fuckin blah you name it i've wasted money on it lol, but i've had zero problems. just typical maintenance. timing, water pump, etc. don't drive like a douche, don't act like your srt with an intake will take a z06 from a dig, and you'll be fine.

  • Only the people that mod them, or drive the snot out of them have problems. Both myself and my friend owe near stock SRT4s except intake, lowering springs and mostly cosmetic mods. Our cars have been great and have 0 issues. Other people we know doing big mod items like upping boost, big turbo, cams, etc. are always doing something to even out the tuning on the car. If you don't mod the engine (these cars are fast stock) then its a turn key car like any other except it needs premium gas.

  • hey man in this clip do u basically have just like the stage 1, agp wastegate and a downpipe? cause i just got stage 1, and im installing the agp wg and downpipe soon, and ur vid pumps me up cause thats a killer sound with just those 3 parts lol, thanks

  • Damn man sounds like you hate this car lol...What year is yours, I've had a bunch of friends with these and they're all nasty as hell and the only one that had a problem was the 03 thats why I'm getting an 05 lol =)

  • what have you screwed up on your car to make it so bad that you say all this negative stuff about it. I have 100k miles and i've never touched the motor or trans. Ive never payed any repair bills either. I've spent money on basic maintenance which i wouldve had to do on any car. My friend has 70k miles on his and he hasn't had any trouble with his either...

  • If you know how to work on your car and dont beat the living piss out of it they are very reliable I had 05 SRT-4 looking at buying another one soon

  • @maunakea281

I definitely agree. I have had no problems with my car so far and I have an 04 SRT-4 with 50,000 miles. Runs great and is still pulling hard.

  • do nsrt4 have problems because they are modied or is this just stock problems? (thinkin about getting one)

  • @ffrancises

Theyre just expensive cars to maintain. Many have problems. I wouldnt recommend buying one.

  • @shaynewilson thanks for once someone gives me the truth. I get the run around when i ask the question

  • @shaynewilson thats funny, mine's going on 83k with original clutch, not a single transmission problem or failure. not a single mechanical problem in my six years of owning it and daily driving. its not exactly babied either, its made around 20 1/4 mile passes.

  • @ffrancises You just have to be careful. I have an 05 with 57,000 miles. I'm the 2nd owner, but it was stock when I got it and had just under 30,000 miles. I've yet to have any issues with it. No dealer repair reports on it ever. There are a lot of SRT4's that were purchased by teenagers, who did mods to increase the boost and no supporting mods, then beat them to hell. If you arent ar literate, its a car you'd want to have a mech. check out for you before buying.

  • @White05Turbo thanks that makes a lot of sense never though about it like that

  • i have my srt 4 and it has 130,000 miles and only prob iv had is the shifting fork other than that iv never had a problem and i drive it the way it was built for

  • Nice, nice, nice. I got the Borla. Sounds sweet, bro!

  • Abuse any car and you'll destroy it. I don't care if you have a Honda, a VW, an Audi, a Dodge or a Chevy, etc, etc.... Avoid burnouts at the strip, learn to launch properly, don't power shift (shift without pressing clutch), don't rev to red line every chance you get and you'll be fine. Drivers need to stop blaming the car for their problems.

  • yea i keep hearin that this car breaks down alot or that the transmissions always fuck up that true??

  • @sunnice2

This is 100% true. The transmission on this car actually just went out with 42k miles on it.... Not to mention all the times it has to go to the shop for bulshit problems. Its a fun car, but you better have money to back up the repair bills

  • look up dodge chrysler transmission problems... lol

  • @shaynewilson Where are you at in PA?

  • @shaynewilson because its a (dodge)

  • @sunnice2 Not true> I have over 108,000miles on my stock factory transmission and never once a problem. Also im still driving on the factory install clutch. Most people tend to blame there driving habits on the manufacture. If your tranny is going out at 42,000 stop missing shifts, high rpm shifting ( wears the synchros out faster) and stop dropping the clutch( gear teeth are slamming together). Basically stop abusing your car.

  • @sunnice2

Depends on how you drive it. The only people I know of who have tranny problems are the knobs who don't clutch when they shift or the ones who no-lift shift without the stage kit which enables this (similiar to SS T/C) I had mine up to 320,000+ k's without an issue. Wrote it off on Black Ice. 9 times out of 10 it's the idiot driver, not the tranny.

  • @sunnice2 lol yep. you you buy one with an original clutch, it dies at about 90K miles... learned that the hard way

  • @sunnice2 Well man, mine has almost 60k and havent had any problems with trans brakes motor turbo etc, the exhaust because some stupid kid went around a corner in the winter butt end first and bent up the pipes, treat it right and it will do the same, a relatives has 80k no problems really alot nothing big at least!

  • @sunnice2 meanwhile despite this other dude...there are plenty of cars pulling 300+ whp on the stock tranny. It takes heavy mods, or a complete lack of ability to drive to destroy the tranny in most cars, including this one. Most of the problems are due to back maintenance and poor driving habits.....Which is the case with most of the srt4's supposed rash of problems. Sure there are some lemons, but you get that with any car.

  • @sunnice2 very true with the trans so shitty my buddys black 04 has 70 k on it trans alrdy went out other friends silver 04 3rd gear went out

  • sounds fuckin awsome bro i have always wanted a shit load of pops on mine and i got the greddy evo 2 and its alright has no pops though just strong ass deep sound and what are the rims there sick

  • what rims are those? they look bad-ass

  • this sounds 10 mill times better then my honda. i think dodge has the best sounding 4 bangers out there. a srt 4 will be my next car

  • @openshot

yea expect "10 mill times" more repair and maintenance bills as well.

  • @shaynewilson quit hatin it all comes down to how you take care of your vehicles

  • Dam that sounds badass. What's your setup?

  • @RomAniAnzOwn

Its not my car, its a friends.

Hes got Mopar catback, walboro 255 fuel pump, intake, new motor mounts, RFL BOV, eboost controller, short shifter, cat delete, and other basic add ons with a dyno tune on 18lbs

  • wow thats a nice cam cord

  • I hate those pops -.-

  • This is F*king awesome... alotta Srt4 owners Ive seen wanted more Pops, snaps, and burbles for their exhaust... and first thing alot of them do is buy full 3inch turbo back exhausts w/ o resonators..... After 2 exhausts on my srt4, I realized putting back the stock exhaust and stock cat backs , but deleting the cat got me this same sound!! I LOVE it.. those srt4 owners wanting this kind of sound spending $200-400 to find out they got uglier sound, GOT F**D--face it-da pops r wht makeitsspecial

  • Now that's a clean Neon. Not like those ricers.

  • Nice BOV

  • Sounds nice man/ how much it run you??
