  • Koots you need to see this

  • lol im sure a lotta people have thought this up before but still lol good stuff

  • I'M CUMMING!!!!!111!!!11!!!!!

  • @LegendaryLensFlare sick freak.

  • God. Everyone was IN LOVE with Star Trek 09 and Super 8. All I could see was just like this: JJ Abrams's ego and really annoying lens flares

  • Terrifying.

  • HAHAHAH this is so cool..

  • Comment removed

  • Props. :D

  • I LIKE OPTIC FLARE, BUT I GUESS THEIR IS SOME THING AS TO MUCH

  • @KAMIKAZi169 WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME

  • They're making a movie about Battlefield 3!!!?? Sweet!

  • Kootra

  • i hate lense flare

  • Lol, so true... If J.J. Abrams EVER makes a movie with Micheal Bay, you would literally go blind!

  • @yoshiunity If JJ makes a movie with Michael Bay & Zack Snyder you'll go blind in slow motion....

  • I see how TDick got his name.

  • id rank on abrams but the director of tron 2 has my ire for being as much of an idiot to include ghosting (doubling of objects) in the 2D version of tron legacy LOLOLOL as an optical effect especialy in the flynn tron flashback scenes.. crazy coke smoking directors lol.

  • I think its annoying, lense flaring isnt something you see in real life with your eyes, its something you see when photography is messed up in a movie and light is reflecting too brightly off the camera lense LOL. I love lost but havent been impressed with any abrams movie, i thought the star trek reboot was mediocre to bad in parts (hated the score, liked part of the cast, hated the charcter writing and dumbing trek into action trek). lense flares generaly make me want to go to a vomitorium

  • hahaha nice trollin video))

  • so true, we need new iconic distortions in movies, decoding errors maybe?

  • L.A.M.E.

  • OMG... I'm a huge JJ Abrams fan, but this is SO TRUE.

  • @47strangelyliteral I love his lens flare!!!

  • Hahaha this is funny.

  • I hear from some tropers, that any good camera is pretty much immune to lens flare, and its thrown in due to the coconut effect.

  • If you're going to parody Jar Jar "Lens Flare" Adams you need to have way more lens flares than that, that's not even close to what he uses at minimum.

In fact, I sometimes wonder if he learned Directing from 90's website-buttons, those tended to all overuse the same lens flare effect too.

  • Funniest movie I saw all day.

  • "Can you see it coming?"

    "I can't see a god damned thing!"

I laughed my ass off at this.

  • pretty dam funny! Thanks!

  • when does it come out?

  • HAHAHAHA

    nice parody

  • haha this shits funny

  • Wow, was that supposed to be funny or decent? Missed opportunity.

  • "I can't see.. a god damn thing!" hahahaha

  • I love jj and his lens flares. I couldn't help laughing when I saw their appearance in super 8

  • The Lens Flare is the reason why i hate JJ Abrams movies !

  • Boy Genius has a real flare for satire!

  • true true

  • Spot on...time for J.J. to give it a rest...

  • Did you edit this on the new Final Cut X?

  • Hilarious! :D

  • I always thought this was obnoxious too.

  • It's funny because it's true.

  • YES. this is spot on

  • Funny dudes! :D

  • Super 8 was a horrible film. I literally laughed out loud at all the lens flares at one point. There were like 5 all at once while at the train station... I could have sworn Abrams forgot about them and just shoved them all in the scene to meet his quota. What a bad film.

  • @SuperMcRad

haha i know exactly what part youre talking about too! I laughed out loud as well. But I have to disagree with your opinion on the film. I thought it was amazing. Probably the best movie I have seen all year... so far.

  • haha hell yeah fabs...fuckin hilarious

  • haha very nice.. And people relax! Everyone loved Super 8 and there's nothing wrong with a bit of fun ;)

  • Hahaha good stuff. By the way, 49,000 views in less than a week is amazing, congrats on that

  • Hahahahahaha Very nice Fabs, hilarious!

  • Well played sir. Very funny and true to the J.J. Abrams "style".

    Me likes.

  • Very clever and funny! Looking forward to your next one...

  • @SolidCorn Those really aren't big words.

  • No, actionguy is right, jj is about as deep as a wading pool...him and his cohorts know how to make it seem like they have different and interesting ideas but they turn out to be hackneyed and derivative

  • @khil28 I love how people try to use big words to seem intelligent. Now here's the part where you say "THOSE AREN'T BIG WORDS HURRR"

  • The only time lens flare has looked cool to me is in Mass Effect.

  • as a 3D artist...i love this

  • @AholeNole I think anybody associated in 3D or editing loves this

  • i love lens flares. i think they're artistic. they don't distract me from his movies at all.

    but this... this is hilarious.

  • I CANT SEE A GODDAMN THING

    :D

  • JJ Abrams is a HACK TV producer! He and his flunkies Orci, Kurtzman, and Lindelof should stick with TV and leave directing and writing feature films to the talented guys who wear the long pants!

  • @Actionguy1 are you retarded?

  • @TheNewMoon333 Far from it. I have an extremely high I.Q. and I know a turd when I see it. So when I call JJ Abrams and company HACKS, you better damn well believe it! They ass raped Star Trek!

Lens flares? Ha! What a stupid gimmick!

  • @Actionguy1 Its just his style, just like Michael Bay uses explosions and terrible dialogue, or Nolan can't make a bad film. and I see it is no point arguing with you, you are one of those annoying Trek fans so I'm ending this conversation now, goodbye :]

  • epic

  • The lens flare in Super 8 was stupid, overdone, distracting and stupid. Did I say it was stupid? Crap movie, too.

  • Also TSL rocks

  • What is the name of the music? I need to know? I need to know it NOW! Please help me!

  • @amazeroth it's from video copilot's pro-scores

  • @timo2342 Where can I buy or download it? I can't find it.

  • Actually the lens are natural in the movies cause they're using anamorphic lens. They can flatten out the light if they don't want the flare there. but jj abrams likes to keep them there. In Star Trek he had people hidden from view flashing flashlights at the lens.

  • This looks like a professional film! I didn't realize all you needed to do was add lens flare until I saw this. Genius!

  • Micheal Bay has explosions.

    J.J. Abrams has lens flare.

Can't wait for the director who uses fish eye.

  • @LeTelecast watch skate videos. not technically a movie, but you can get your dose of fish eye shots there. lol

  • @LeTelecast You mean Terry Gilliam.

  • This about sums up everything JJ Abrams has ever made...

  • so camera lens are gay?

  • @BoyGeniusComedy go to watch?v=8vf6e-iDECs for an example of the above

  • I. Love. This.

  • LOL!!! loved it, specially the ending

  • JJ Abrams' lens flare is almost as bad as Michael Bay's shaky cam.

  • @heymrk Don't forget the hue glows of orange and blues.

  • @heymrk Abrams is just as guilty of shaky camera shots too. It's like he hires epileptic camera men!

  • I was fine with the use in Star Trek, but it was just annoying in Super 8. Still enjoyed the film, though.

  • @BoyGeniusComedy Here you go watch?v=7M_Gh9GtexY

  • Andrew Kramer of Video Copilot, creator of Optical Flares for After Effects and owner of Video Copilot, the largest most useful After Effects site made the titles and did the VFX for Super 8, he's a bad ass and his taste in flares are god-tier.

  • nicely done... thanks for the lulz

  • Is this making fun of the TSL RO16 intro, or is it also making fun of something else?

  • @Rambowjo2 Making fun of J J Abrams's love for having lens flare in all his movies?

  • I fucking hate lens flare.

  • Written by: M.Night Shyamalan.

  • THIS WAS AMAZING!!!

  • haha funny guys!! : )

  • =O

  • GOLF - gross overuse of lens flare

  • durrrrrrrrrr

  • Music from TSL? THIEEEEEEF

  • JJ Abrams is a talent free hack of a fuckwit.

  • @TDickMovies Relax Buddy

  • @yafun5 His name does have 'Dick moves' in it....

  • @TDickMovies yes, they are using anamorphic lens which you can cut off lens flare from if you are filming scenes with unnatural sources of light. Perhaps if you are descending into a hole lit only by a sparkler there shouldn't be light causing lens flare half way down.

And i am not ignorant that I am exaggerating it. I'm pretty sure I spent a great deal of time exaggerating it on purpose, because I like jokes.

Also I really enjoyed Super 8.

And its an After Effects plug in.

  • @BoyGeniusComedy Right on

  • @BoyGeniusComedy If you actaully knew anything about JJ Abrams you would understand that Abrams always makes his name much larger than that, which create the beautiful contrast between text. That you are so ignorantly under exaggerating.

He doesn't use the same text size for everything because he has millions of dollars and this parody doesn't so it's not the same.

But really though, this was hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.

  • @BoyGeniusComedy AHA! But you DID pirate it! jk

  • @TDickMovies "beautiful" If you knew anything about film making you'd know they're just an overused annoyance

  • @TDickMovies Just putting it out there that even though they did use anamorphic lenses they still also used Optic Flares from Star Trek to the recent Super 8 film. Andrew Kramer from Video Copilot provided the lens flares in addition to the the style that JJ wanted that they couldn't get in reality. Just stay through the credits and you'll see Andrews name on it.

  • @Filmaker92 I'm pretty sure they only used digital flares for cgi shots and the rest were physical by shining torches into the camera.

Andrew Kramer designed the star trek titles which makes him awesome.

If i'm wrong however could you link me to your info it sounds cool and interesting?

  • @heinygore2 It's clearly seen here:

    /watch?v=hiAToA3qZcI

Yes there where physical flares but if there where other flares that they couldn't get on camera then yes they would use optic flares, that also goes with CGI shots as well.

  • @TDickMovies calm down fanboy.

  • AWESOME!

  • lmao great job
