What the hell is this shit about lip synching. This was filmed in 198fuckingFIVE. Rock bands played live back then and lip synching was saved for in studio performances on TV shows, for obvious reasons.

If somebody can't here the difference between this version and the studio version then maybe it's time to clean those ears!

Don't mean anything bad to the band, buuut there's an obviously lip synced performance of Only Lonely I found here recently, so is this really his voice right here? I'd like to think so but... if it is, this is truly amazing.

jon's voice used to very good. their live shows were full of energy. the guys ran all over the stage & rocked! their music & shows aren't like that now.

Okay, good, it's just that when they have a very obviously lip synced one of the same rarely performed song, it's just a little harder to believe. But I guess they get the benefit of the doubt this time. :P

And yeah, they don't do that stuff now either. I've seen them once before and I'm seeing them again this tour, and it'll be amazing!

There's a lip synced TV performance from Japoan 85 up here somewhere. This one is truly live! Basically every live performance of Only Lonely back then blew the album version out of the water.

Although, I can't wait! The Bon Jovi website says that they're FINALLY playing 7800° Fahrenheit songs on their The Circle Tour, after not doing them for 20 or so years, so if Jon sings this it won't be lip synced, since obviously he couldn't pass an 80s recording off.

@hAnD90 no none of them are lip synced its just very bad video editing from the 80s. You can clearly hear none of the recordnings on here are from the album, theyre all different from eachother. its just the live vids were easily out of sync back then

After watching this video I realized I was at that show at the Boston garden where they backed up RATT..lol..This was when they were taking off !!!!The best of Bon Jove right here..too bad he wants to be a cowboy now !!

I would give my left nut to hear this song played live again.. I also wish they would play more off New Jersey which they play very sparingly of.. Stick to your Guns was played on like a handful of dates last tour

The reason (according to one web site) is that Bon Jovi considers the material from the first two records not up to their current standards. Runaway is only played because that is the song that broke the band

Why wont bonjovi sing any song off their 1st two albums? The only songs they will ever play since the SWW Tour are Runnaway and tokeo roads.

Can somebody please explain the reason.I thought both of their 1st two albums were classic Bon Jovi.

maybe laziness. they've played the "hits" so long now they could do it in their sleep.

those songs are too rock for them now.

hate to sound like I'm slamming them. they were 1 of my faves until KTF. Sambora's playing was great & their songs rocked on their first 4 records.

How many times do the longtime BJ fans want to hear Bad Name, Prayer, Medicine, Faith.... PLease guys, play more of the good stuff

Why does bonjovi not sing ne songs off their 1st two albums? They stopped after the sww tour in 1986 and 87. Now all they will play is Runnaway, In and out of love and maybe Tokeo roads. Thanks for YOUTUBE .

i'm a huge bon jovi fan, it seems to me that ever since the SWW 87 TOUR they don't play anything from their 1st two cds. The only songs they will do now is Runnaway, In and out of love and maybe Tokeo roads. DOED NE BODY KNOW WHY THEY DON'T PLAY THESE SONGS NE MORE?
