However you look at it, abortion is murder. Fetuses become babies, babies become children, children become teens, and so on. as soon as the pregnacy is diagnosed, it's a living thing. Abortion is murder in every conceivable way. Why not just give birth to the baby and THEN give it to ADOPTION if the irresponsible (sometimes stupid) teens don't want it. I can't believe it normally takes months to decide on an abortion; i just came up with the adoption option in 5 seconds -_-

Well it depends on how you're looking at it. some people don't think their babies are considered real people until they are born, which is an obvious fallacy, so they put their own well being above everything else.
I mean, sure it's unfortunate and hard being a pregnant juvenile, but that's not forever, and trauma can be recovered. none of what can be caused by an unwanted pregnancy can even be compared to having your own life taken away.

As it is, I don't think any government would be equipped to support 100 000 000 unwanted babies, because there sure wouldn't be enough parents to adopt them. Where I live, only 340 baby adoptions occur each year. Even fewer for older kids.

You can have sex as many times as you want as long as you are PLANNING on having a kid. Do whatever you want. The woman's only a whore if she has 3 babies each with a different father. Even if it's not the choice of the mother that she got pregnant (raped), she made the choice of ending a human life (if she choses abortion). i am American. but that doesn't make me a better person. America gives me the resources TO be better. Now, some choose to use these resources; others choose not to. So, if you want to have a child, just remember the long-term cost. It's probably the most serious, life-altering experience in one's life. You choose, you lose. Which is why abortion is =)

yeah i get the joke too. this is one of my favourite parts in any family guy episode. I'm totally against abortion and think that anyone who gets an abortion (or administers one) should die, but that is not relevant to this joke. it's just so funny cuz lois is being embarassed really badly

What about in cases where, oh, 13 -even younger- girls are molested and end up pregnant. I see it happen all the time in lower class areas.
Should they be forced to be pregnant as kids, or should they "die" if they get one?
Don't say "adoption". The trauma of being 12 and pregnant is enough without forcing the kid to seperate from her baby once she is attached.

Well it depends on how you're looking at it. some people don't think their babies are considered real people until they are born, which is an obvious fallacy, so they put their own well being above everything else.
I mean, sure it's unfortunate and hard being a pregnant juvenile, but that's not forever, and trauma can be recovered. none of what can be caused by an unwanted pregnancy can even be compared to having your own life taken away.

Its more than unfortunate. Its cruel to expect a young girl to carry a pregnancy she had no choice over.
Facts are: Until the baby can survive on its own, it relies on the woman carrying it. That woman should have a choice whether or not she wants to do that.
The baby would never even know- abortions that occur before 12-20 weeks happen before the baby is even aware.
Abortions keep populations down. Thats why animals and humans do it. If not- it would be a global distaster.

Did you know that in excess of 100 000 000 abortions occur in the states each year? If no one had abortions, thats possibly MILLIONS of extra humans that the world would not be able to handle.
Resources are stretched as it is.
Think of it like this: Sure, abortion stops one life. But if we stopped abortions, we'd kill the earth.
Sooo...which is worse? A few hundred thousand abortions, or the gazillions of lifeforms lost when humans over-populate the earth?

In other words: Don't just look at the one little picture, there's a whole planet we humans seem to have to look after, and if we only focus on our species, we're gonna kill the rest.
As it is, I don't think any government would be equipped to support 100 000 000 unwanted babies, because there sure wouldn't be enough parents to adopt them. Where I live, only 340 baby adoptions occur each year. Even fewer for older kids.
Abortions have happened since humans could think. Sad, but needed.

@Treemeadow 100,000,000 million abortion in the US per year? That's not even remotely close to the truth. In reality, that number is only about one million. It's only about 42 million worldwide, less than half the number you suggest for the states alone.
