I feel ya. I'm not a fan of online play just because of the random people you run into(internet thugs, people who don't shut the hell up, etc). Atleast thats how it is on the 360 i don't really know how it is on the ps3 because i don't play mine very often.

Yeah, it is dying quite a bit but some of the major titles have it, borderlands has it, most racing games have it, cod has it, mod nation racers, its obviously not as promoninte as last gen but its still there

split screen is dieing, but some games try to include it, but are usually bad or underrated, borderlands i dont think has split screen, which should have, army of two was ok, but got boring quick, i think every game that has coop has to have split screen too, like gears and halo, looks like the xbox wins for split screen too, now CATCH UP ALL OVER GAMES

I've been playing 4 player split screen on Super Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars and its sooo much fun. Also really looking forward to Twisted Metal! Split screen is so awesome if you have friends.

Nah its not really dying. It just doesn't fit in with many games this gen. Upcoming games with split screen are Resistance 3, Gears 3, Forza 4 and Twisted Metal. Their games that matter. You can't really throw a split screen mode into games like Skyrim , Batman AC, Dark Souls, Assasins creed because theres no place for them.

I think the removal of split screen, just forces the consumer to play online. Once they are online, then they can see all the DLC for that game and potentially buy it. These developers know what they are doing, those sneaking bastards.

Split screen, single screen, yes I still prefer it over online gaming. It's tons of fun sitting down on the sofa with a friend and play on the same telly screen because you don't need a fucking mic to talk smack about the opponent ! :D.

@HammersGamingChannel I now only play on 40-60 inch hd tv's mininum now for that same reason, but i know the new 3d tv's can have 2-4 different people look at the screen & amazingly each person see's something different. so they can have 4 people sit around with no split screen & l4d etc.

to be perfectly honest battlefield wasent meant for consoles, the series have largely been PC only, the only reason the 360 and PS3 are getting it is because thats where the money is, the consoles arent even meant to run it
