I'd say a googolplex is just a joke for infinity. Let's face it and acknowledge the fact that life and infinity are tied together. The universe is infinite we are finite in our mental abstraction of reason.
the universe is so huge if you travel more than 10 times the speed of light you may go back in time it's just my opinion a black hole is caused because something altered time if you go in such fast speed you'll cause a black hole. you'll reach that strange planet without even knowing you went but people will think of a different time when the people who went to the strange planet on . opinion
If what i mentioned below works, Perhaps we don't even need to think of building a Time Machine but travelling to a nearby Star perhaps 2010 Light Years from us and there you go ! If you manage to peek back at Earth from there using a really really really really powerful Telescope or something like that, You can Infact View Earth as it was in 0 BCE and it's as good as Travelling back in time and finding what Jesus looked like O_O ROFL !!!
It'd be sad if some civilization contacted us, but the age of the message was so old that civilization might have died out already.
I'm no scientist, but could anyone correct my theory below?
Ahem - The way to respond would be to deliver your message with this equation: A = rate at which the message traveled from origin to destination. B = Distance of the planet from earth in light years. C = Speed of light.
A times (B time C)
I'm very curious, the number would be tremendously huge!

If such a small planet was detectable 25kly away, & no similar planets have been discovered in our steller neighborhood, maybe that means there ain't none any closer. Seems thet woud have been easier to detect, & would have been if they existed. Still, it seems a reasonable assumtion that almost all stars have worlds of all shapes & sizes revolving around them, as all major planets in our SS do.
26 light years away desn't mean we are 26 years away from it. It means that is how long the light takes to reach us. To travel the speed of light is not yet possible.

@lvl80pallyffs Sounds more like a super sized Europa than Earth. It's apparaently 3X farther away from its star than Earth is from our Sun. It's at best much more like the Hoth Ice World at the beginning of Empire Strikes Back, or the world young Spock marooned young JT Kirk on (where he met old Spock), than Earth as we know it. @niflap "It's apparaently 3X farther away from its star than Earth is from our Sun. "
Additionally, the host star is believed to be a red dwarf, much cooler and dimmer than our own. Thus, even if the planet did have the same orbital distance that the Earth does around the Sun, it would still be far too cold for liquid water to exist on the surface there. It would need to be about 80% closer in for that to be the case.

I mean how can you be sure? (Don't worry, I spell checked everyone)
@bahamut6667 The correct phrase is an 'indefinite amount of planets'... There's no use to dick around with words to try to get to a meaning but not actually get there though, hence my sarcasm in my last comment ridiculing this blasphemy. Notice in your original comment you said life might exist somewhere in the universe ON a star then went ahead and called whoever might disagree with your misguided opinion 'fucking stupid'. You preposterous, grandiloquent, hypocritical, fatuous, person you...
There are about 100 billion galaxies, and about 100 billion stars in each. That number is hard to fathom. Imagine a football field, 160 feet wide by 360 feet long. Golf balls are 1.68 inches, so you could fit about 3 million on the ground in rows and columns. If you stacked them until you got to 100 billion, it would reach 4,666 feet high, or that would be about 1,500 fields waste deep. EACH ball then represents a galaxy with that same number of stars.
@bahamut6667 theoretically it might be infinite... so you could never even explore 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%
@bahamut6667 i agree with you but we have discovered 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of the universe probs less :D
@onesportwonder24 and life less intelegent than ours in probably billion have you ever though of that or did you allways think that other lifeforms would be scientificly evolved much more higher than us?
I always wondered this - Say we manage to travel to our Nearest Star Alpha Centauri Star System at roughly 5 Light Years right now in 2010. Since Time = Space, Do we actually see our Planet as it was in 2005 ? Since the time it takes for a person at Alpha Centauri to see the Light from Earth is 5 Light Years.
That would be awesome if it worked that way, Meaning we look back into time and see our Planet as it was 5 Years ago, Considering we manage to have a Technology to View Earth from there.
Well, I dunno if this is really on topic, but what I have noticed is that when people talk about "life" on other planets, we assume(sp) that they mean smart life, like us. But it could just be some tiny little living cell in an ocean. :/
yes but even if there is tiny living cells in an ocean that would be amazing and just as excitting (people just like to hope of ET thats all ) ..... that would prove that life evolved on other planits and were not the only ones witch means that we know for shure that life durives on other planits making it almost surtine that inteligent life excist we just havent found it yet.
@Chennyne exactly im pretty sure they have already announced that nasa (Never a straight answer) hahaha found microbes and bacteria in martian rock that live off the planets methane gas or something now imagine a couple of hundred million years and bam new life at probably the stage we are today and we will be long gone and they will be wondering if there is life out there as well lol
No, the way they found the planet was by looking at the star and seeing if it moved. If stars move a bit, that means that a planet is pulling on them. :)
Then, I think they sent something out there to record the planets size and mass, or took a pic of it with a really strong telescope, not sure though.
They couldn't possibly have sent a probe; it would take at minimum 52000 years to get there and back; and if the latter, my question (and surprise) remains. I was not aware that human telescopes were so capable...
@1RadicalOne why are ppl; soooo clueless i see many comments saying i diddent know we could see so far etc well thats right we arent seeing far we are seeing the light from that planet that has taken 26000 years to reach us we arent actually sending anything to the planet lol plus they can tell it is a planet by its colour thermal radar sonar etc to check temp and atmosphere and by its rotation of its closest stars and by the size and brightness of the planet hope this helps EVERYONE lol
If you actually read my comment, you would see that I had said that nothing had actually been sent to the planet, and that the planet had been viewed indirectly.
all i know is that humans make things up to sound look what ever as long as its accepted by a majority it is usually regarded as either fact or bealiveble. in saying that i admit my insuperiority to god assume that he is good and what ever is set and done is what it is
I personally think there is advanced life out there.. i mean think about it. We cant even fathom the number of stars in our universe, and there's nothing that sets our solar system apart from others, making us not special. So basically you have to be some ignorant to rid the idea of life
(continued) out there. Also, thinking of our planet's history, life on our planet have gone through some tough times - ice ages and even a mass extinction (the dinosaurs). Odds are (judging from the bajillions of stars out there) that there's a planet where life evolved untouched by any planetary destruction, which could leave an intelligent civilization out there that is literally millions of years more technologically advanced then our own... Trippy
Mars is to cold?I remember one day mars temperature was 17 . Is more hot then alska .And whit Technology we can survive .If was to cold ,the humans dont try to go there :-)
@johnsmdm and another thing they already found microbes that survive off methane gas inside rock from mars. plus did u know we have microbes on earth that live in larva so what if it is hot or cold conditions. life will evolve to its surroundings just cos it is cold dosent mean it cant support some type of life i mean if we jumped in to the freezing water in Antarctica we would die very fast ...but what if a seal jumped in or a bear they can survive cos they have adapted to there surroundings
I just wanna know how the fuck we will be able to travel that far one day in the future.
Because Earth is going capoot and we all knwo this. We are using all the resources up pretty quickly and we are gonna have to move on one day. Not in my lifetime of course but one day.
well universe is really big it is like endless and there are other system not only the solar system, like the nibiru channel, well as of now NASA is building things that could explore the universe farther, and i believe there are some planets like earth somewhere in the universe.
well shit lets build an armada of star ships, and lets CONQUER THIS PLANET for the Glory of Our Newly Formed Intergallactic EMPIRE! with Lord Vader as the leader of Course.
I think when earth starts going into space there going to make alot of enimies because theres probably a huge extrsolar metropolis that has named all the planets so they will be pissed because weve named them
That's all well and good but I wish they'd give the planet a proper name. Seems like a bit of a hassle to google 'OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb' whenever I'm interested in reading up on it.
Chances are to premitive just like dinosaurs or maybe even more voluated than us humans...we dont know what we mitgh find...ITS crazy maybe one day at like year 10 000 life will be like in star-wars...10 000 years after christ from planet earth
the new planet is called orbit but its very far on earth so its so cold there maybe another life forms? another creature that can live without HOT? i wish i can explore it
i am from the future i have an urgent message this world shall be obliterated by the year 2030 an asteroid shall come and destroy everyone so by the late 2029 u must be undergorund far underground
wow to know the universe as well as we know the earth and oceans.. we wish, we have been studying both for years, wits the sea, we know it contains trillions of different life forms, all surviving in various different envirnoments wits various different abilities; whereas we have only just got the technology go ahead to study everything around our funny planet...
personally i would rather look at a beautiful nebular than a shellfish, but each to their own... nout against sea creatures btw
No, time does speed up and slow down due to the theory of special relativity. This can only occur at ultra high speeds approaching the speed of light though... A good example of this is mueons. When radiation hits Earth high energy particles calle mueons are created and only last .00000000002 seconds. But they still reach Earth's surface because their time is slower than our's. Also check out the testing of light particle time.
I explained it in the comment but mueons are small particles that are so unstable they only have a life of some .0000000002 seconds. But when the enter our atmosphere they are still able to reach Earth's surface regardless of how long they live because they are traveling so fast that they have a slower time than our's.
not exactly flattened.. youd need about 8-9 times the gravitational pull. 5 times our gravity is just gonna make us all feel like fat asses until our bodies develope to the environment.. but even then thatd take eons for that to happen.
Thank you! too many people buy into the "warp" speed crap. Once you leave our solar system, the distances between stars are astro-freakin-nominal! 26,000 lyrs doesn't seem so far huh?just to the nearest star is almost 4.3 lyrs or something like 38-40 trillion km....
According to Quantum Physics, a atom here can be syncronised with another across the universe, and if you reverse its polarity here, immediately across the universe it also changes..
so, this shows on a quantum level, space doesnt exist, there is a force much much faster than light, although existing on a different level of understanding to us currently.
you dont use cars to fly, you dont use shuttles to travel from star to star...different machine, different thinking, different physics
The people on Earth would have to wait 25000 years for the ship to get there, but for the people on the ship it would only seem like a few decades because when you go that fast time speeds up. It would suck getting back to Earth 50,000 years later though. Things would probably be different...

@onesportwonder24 and life less intelegent than ours in probably billion have you ever though of that or did you allways think that other lifeforms would be scientificly evolved much more higher than us?
CrownChanel 1 year ago

Just pointing that outtt~
Chennyne 2 years ago
yes but even if there is tiny living cells in an ocean that would be amazing and just as excitting (people just like to hope of ET thats all ) ..... that would prove that life evolved on other planits and were not the only ones witch means that we know for shure that life durives on other planits making it almost surtine that inteligent life excist we just havent found it yet.
alexandermcisaac 2 years ago
@Chennyne exactly im pretty sure they have already announced that nasa (Never a straight answer) hahaha found microbes and bacteria in martian rock that live off the planets methane gas or something now imagine a couple of hundred million years and bam new life at probably the stage we are today and we will be long gone and they will be wondering if there is life out there as well lol
bahamut6667 1 year ago
You can see planets at 26000 lightyears?
1RadicalOne 2 years ago
No, the way they found the planet was by looking at the star and seeing if it moved. If stars move a bit, that means that a planet is pulling on them. :)
Then, I think they sent something out there to record the planets size and mass, or took a pic of it with a really strong telescope, not sure though.
Chennyne 2 years ago
They couldn't possibly have sent a probe; it would take at minimum 52000 years to get there and back; and if the latter, my question (and surprise) remains. I was not aware that human telescopes were so capable...
1RadicalOne 2 years ago
@1RadicalOne why are ppl; soooo clueless i see many comments saying i diddent know we could see so far etc well thats right we arent seeing far we are seeing the light from that planet that has taken 26000 years to reach us we arent actually sending anything to the planet lol plus they can tell it is a planet by its colour thermal radar sonar etc to check temp and atmosphere and by its rotation of its closest stars and by the size and brightness of the planet hope this helps EVERYONE lol
bahamut6667 1 year ago
If you actually read my comment, you would see that I had said that nothing had actually been sent to the planet, and that the planet had been viewed indirectly.
1RadicalOne 1 year ago
all i know is that humans make things up to sound look what ever as long as its accepted by a majority it is usually regarded as either fact or bealiveble. in saying that i admit my insuperiority to god assume that he is good and what ever is set and done is what it is
LilHemiAKA47 2 years ago
I personally think there is advanced life out there.. i mean think about it. We cant even fathom the number of stars in our universe, and there's nothing that sets our solar system apart from others, making us not special. So basically you have to be some ignorant to rid the idea of life
kryptonickraze 2 years ago
(continued) out there. Also, thinking of our planet's history, life on our planet have gone through some tough times - ice ages and even a mass extinction (the dinosaurs). Odds are (judging from the bajillions of stars out there) that there's a planet where life evolved untouched by any planetary destruction, which could leave an intelligent civilization out there that is literally millions of years more technologically advanced then our own... Trippy

Mars is to cold?I remember one day mars temperature was 17 . Is more hot then alska .And whit Technology we can survive .If was to cold ,the humans dont try to go there :-)
daniobeita 2 years ago
@johnsmdm and another thing they already found microbes that survive off methane gas inside rock from mars. plus did u know we have microbes on earth that live in larva so what if it is hot or cold conditions. life will evolve to its surroundings just cos it is cold dosent mean it cant support some type of life i mean if we jumped in to the freezing water in Antarctica we would die very fast ...but what if a seal jumped in or a bear they can survive cos they have adapted to there surroundings
bahamut6667 1 year ago
bahamut, that is pure speculation and you know it....methane has many causes from lava to other phenomena....put up or shut up.....

Time doesnt speed up faster you go. Between the ship and earth their is time dialation the faster you go its a odd thing.
NielsShoe 2 years ago
No, time does speed up and slow down due to the theory of special relativity. This can only occur at ultra high speeds approaching the speed of light though... A good example of this is mueons. When radiation hits Earth high energy particles calle mueons are created and only last .00000000002 seconds. But they still reach Earth's surface because their time is slower than our's. Also check out the testing of light particle time.
ross2694 2 years ago 2
Time also changes depending on the amount of gravity. I believe it's called gravitational time dilation.
Kulawendin 2 years ago
What the heck is a "mueons"?
BaseStationZero 2 years ago
I explained it in the comment but mueons are small particles that are so unstable they only have a life of some .0000000002 seconds. But when the enter our atmosphere they are still able to reach Earth's surface regardless of how long they live because they are traveling so fast that they have a slower time than our's.
ross2694 2 years ago
lol. I was kidding you for spelling muons wrong.
BaseStationZero 2 years ago
not exactly flattened.. youd need about 8-9 times the gravitational pull. 5 times our gravity is just gonna make us all feel like fat asses until our bodies develope to the environment.. but even then thatd take eons for that to happen.
mistamener 2 years ago
5 times the mass of earth, what would the gravity be on the planet. If there is any life, it will be sticking to the surface completely flattened

Why make good statements when we will never make a ship that can travel that fast.....
Footballfan896 2 years ago
what a waste
shuttle speed 5000km/hr.
light speed 300000 km per SECOND
even if we somehow Miraculously traveled at speed of light, it would take 25000 years to reach there
slrmercedez 2 years ago 2
Thank you! too many people buy into the "warp" speed crap. Once you leave our solar system, the distances between stars are astro-freakin-nominal! 26,000 lyrs doesn't seem so far huh?just to the nearest star is almost 4.3 lyrs or something like 38-40 trillion km....

gaberson38 2 years ago 2
According to Quantum Physics, a atom here can be syncronised with another across the universe, and if you reverse its polarity here, immediately across the universe it also changes..
so, this shows on a quantum level, space doesnt exist, there is a force much much faster than light, although existing on a different level of understanding to us currently.
you dont use cars to fly, you dont use shuttles to travel from star to star...different machine, different thinking, different physics
GoldieTalon 2 years ago
The people on Earth would have to wait 25000 years for the ship to get there, but for the people on the ship it would only seem like a few decades because when you go that fast time speeds up. It would suck getting back to Earth 50,000 years later though. Things would probably be different...
