i love both versions. i try not to compare them, just enjoy them.

A very effective video--it fits the song like it was made for it. But then, given that the movie inspired the song, in a way it was.

I do have to say that, as far as the song goes, I prefer the original version as it felt like it had a lot more energy and exuberance to it. But the new one is still good, too.

oh wow! thanks so much for post this footage,never saw the red shoes film before,looks great.directors cut version of this song is slowly growing on me. i so used to listening to the original album version but im slowly coming round to this version.

This is just so great! It might just be my favorite "fan vid" of a Kate Bush song ever. I never get tired of watching it if no other reason than it takes me back to my childhood and the holiday season when THE RED SHOES would be a "must watch" when it was broadcast in Detroit, Michigan. Scenes from that film combined with Kate's new version of her song are sublime. I can't stop Tweeting about it! Thank you.
