Christian Bale sucked as batman but the movies were not bad, they were scaled a little to much toward realism to fit into the broader DC universe. Reynolds would be a great flash or deadpool. They have to make a Superman Doomsday movie first. That would be epic. You need a film where Supes is seriously challenged. And please, never ever cast Kevin Spacey has Luthor again. He was the weakest link. You can't have a Luthor that acts like a clown. Next they have to make a Batman film that demonstrates his intelligence and prowess as a detective. That is what makes him truly great and his greatest asset as a member of the JL.

But for a short answer: The comics wrote in that Hal Jordan went on hiatus, and John Stewart was chosen as his subsitute. He was later given full membership into the Green Lantern Corps. Hal Jordan isn't the only person to be GL of Sector 2814. Guy Gardner, John Stewart, and even after Hal there was Kyle Rayner. You don't read the comics, do you? :P

I like the idea of a JL movie, the issue being, having a bunch of Main Characters in one place. Yeah fora TV show its easy, not everyone is seen at once..you know at some point they will have a part for them BUT as far as like the Avengers go i can see it happening. NOOOOOO. I'm so DONE with all of these superhero movies, mainly because now there's so many of them you can't even count all of them and the quality of them only range from mediocre to deplorable. The ONLY good ones, I felt were Nolan's Batman (which they already want to take a dump on by adding him to ANOTHER franchise) and maybe X-Men:First Class. Just STOP. Please.
Nolan's Batman, currently the only good DC movie, is out of the picture. Green Lantern was a fail apparently. And new images of Man of Steel show that Superman... well... just doesn't look like Superman. If there is ever going to be a Justice League movie, its not going to happen any time soon.
If Marvel's Avengers ((Live Action)) movie is a box office hit, anything less than a live action JLA movie will suffer! Green Lantern movie had the opportunity of being the next STAR WARS, but the story-line clearly never had the direction to pull it off! If Superman Man of steel bombs, comic book fans will most likely never will see a JLA movie. Maybe they should get Marvel to do it for them????
For me the J.L movie has to start with Martian Manhunter recruiting the team for a threat to Mars and Earth (or Mars has fallen and we are his only hope). Also I hope that Batman won't be given super powers to fit him in. He should be represented using his ingenuity as well as his physical skills and gadgets. As for villains there was a giant space vampire in the comic book who should do fine.

Second Ryan Reynolds is the right person to play Green Lantern, if you read any of the comic Green Lantern is white, it was the justice leage cartoon that made the Green Lantern black, dont get me wrong will smith would be good as Green Lantern if they were makin the film as the justice leage cartoon.
@pag1288 You need to check your facts. John Stewart (the black Green Lantern) was introduced in the comics back in 1972. He has been in play LONG before the cartoon. Green Lantern has not always been white.
Warner Bros. shouldn't buy the all rights to the market of DC Comics that why they suck,unlike Marvel who doesn't suck by going to more studios except in the case of Daredevil and Elektra IMHO.
@strangerinwhite The only problem is that DC comics is a subsidiary of The Warner company. So Warner Brothers pretty much owns them, it's not that they just have rights. And who know if marvel will keep going that route. Disney bought all rights to the movies and just let the contracts fall with the studios who already had them in place. Once those contracts are up then you can count on Disney do all those. Superheroes breaking out into random songs!!! Daredevil was good though...

I was just watching the trailer for the new Starwars: The Old Republic trailer, and it was AMAZING! It was all computer done. I personally feel that when they do movies that revolve around super powers they should do it in CGI. Animation has no restrictions, and you can show the true potential of a super hero through computer animation. If you dont believe me, then watch Avatar.

A Chris Nolan-directed Justice League would simply be out of this world. I got a feeling the Avengers is going to be more on the light-hearted, campy side, like most of the Marvel movies leading up to it. So a darker, more serious Justice League will be a nice change of pace and won't make the audience feel like they're watching the same movie as the Avengers, but with different superheroes. There, I've said my two cents...

Angelina Jolie as wonder woman would be amazing and drum up the star power the film will need to succeed. With more women joining the military a female superhero that kicks ass would definitely make a box office hit. In times of war comic book super heros come back in full strength.

ok, first off, nobody could give Batman even a fraction of the credit he deserves like Nolan can. TDK is still the best superhero movie in existence (till TDKR). And it would make no sense on Warner Bros. part to replace one of it's biggest franchises A YEAR after the trilogy concludes. They simply cannot replace Christopher Nolan. He is the sole director for Batman.

they have seen what marvel has done and very well i might ad an think o ye we can do that but without thinking it through cast all the wrong people for all the wrong parts especially superman reboot (rli looks awful) doesnt stick with what superman has ever been but o well at least we have the originals that are still amazing.
To sum up - too much too fast = bad movies and bad publicity. i have a feeling it will put alot of fans and wud be fans off which is a shame with what they could do :(

For me the J.L movie has to start with Martian Manhunter recruiting the team for a threat to Mars and Earth (or Mars has fallen and we are his only hope). Also I hope that Batman won't be given super powers to fit him in. He should be represented using his ingenuity as well as his physical skills and gadgets. As for villains there was a giant space vampire in the comic book who should do fine.

@pag1288 You need to check your facts. John Stewart (the black Green Lantern) was introduced in the comics back in 1972. He has been in play LONG before the cartoon. Green Lantern has not always been white.

@strangerinwhite The only problem is that DC comics is a subsidiary of The Warner company. So Warner Brothers pretty much owns them, it's not that they just have rights. And who know if marvel will keep going that route. Disney bought all rights to the movies and just let the contracts fall with the studios who already had them in place. Once those contracts are up then you can count on Disney do all those. Superheroes breaking out into random songs!!! Daredevil was good though...

In all honesty, and people are free to argue, but I feel that they should do in in CGI.
I was just watching the trailer for the new Starwars: The Old Republic trailer, and it was AMAZING! It was all computer done. I personally feel that when they do movies that revolve around super powers they should do it in CGI. Animation has no restrictions, and you can show the true potential of a super hero through computer animation. If you dont believe me, then watch Avatar.

A Chris Nolan-directed Justice League would simply be out of this world. I got a feeling the Avengers is going to be more on the light-hearted, campy side, like most of the Marvel movies leading up to it. So a darker, more serious Justice League will be a nice change of pace and won't make the audience feel like they're watching the same movie as the Avengers, but with different superheroes. There, I've said my two cents...

ok, first off, nobody could give Batman even a fraction of the credit he deserves like Nolan can. TDK is still the best superhero movie in existence (till TDKR). And it would make no sense on Warner Bros. part to replace one of it's biggest franchises A YEAR after the trilogy concludes. They simply cannot replace Christopher Nolan. He is the sole director for Batman.
Bottom Line?
Replace Nolan = Kill Batman
But then again, that's just one fan's opinion.
