  • Sparkkoz they should turn more heads than a ferrari!

  • Nice vid!!! A great tribute to an awesome car!

  • They oughta remake this thing. Just put modern internals , sell it for cheap

  • You can catch more eyes with a DeLorean than a Corvette!

  • I love DELOREAN because it's diferent. And there is no another car on the road looking like the delorean

  • A true legend on wheels - I think it is the styled and designed car of the 80s - a real eyecatcher

  • So, how much for the hover conversion?

  • This video is so incredibly 80s.

  • I would love to drive the first one made in 1976 !

  • ONE DAY U WILL BUY ONE DE LOREAN T.T ITS MY DREAM

  • @cl0n01" TITS" ??!!?!

  • @Hotshot1900 NO,THIS IS A CRYING FACE: T.T

  • good thing the company closed down.. so not many people can have that car :P

  • useless poorly designed piece of poop

  • Delorean dos not show up in autotrader

  • Back to the future!

  • A delorean is my dream car

  • 1.21 Gigawatts!!

  • *insert back to the future joke here*

  • How much does one cost today (I bet back to the future fans drove up prices).

  • @charlemagneischarles You can get a decent one for 18 to 20k. Just look at places like E-Bay, Craigslist, Autotrader.

  • @jammer96 Thanks.

  • wow i forgot all about those electric balls, they where every where when i was a kid, thats a true 80,s throwback right there, lol

  • This is still a great looking car.

  • wish this car would have a great car to see what it looked like now. As well as the Bricklin SV1 which there would of not been a delorean without the bricklin.

  • i think is designed by pininfarina italia!!(alfa romeo, fiat...)

great design, looks fantastic also today!

  • Designed by Giugario who also designed the Esprit which the Delorean is based off of slightly. Just a different engine and body panels. Your right Deloreans still look fantastic today!

  • they r 100% IRISH

  • good looking car, but thats just about it, nothing good about its mechanics or technology at that time.

  • Well the gullwings were advanced and it had fuel injection rather than a carburetor, so it was actually fairly advanced.

  • it had a mechanical fuel injection, not an electronic fuel injection. It had a Renault engine and transmission. Hardly a good choice of drive train even during its time.

  • No, no, the car had still some interesting features. Like the chassis, which was coated in epoxy to prevent it from rusting. And the torsion bars that were in both gull-wing doors were dipped in liquid nitrogen so it could be twisted ten times both ways. Also the panels on the car were bolt-on so any damaged body panels could be easily replaced.

  • Wrong, was one of the first cars out there with fuel injection.

  • @jsmith42690 "Wrong, was one of the first cars out there with fuel injection." Delorean ? Oh ... the Mercedes 300 SL "Gullwing" had a direct fuel injection in 1954 , there was a Ford Capri 2600 RS with mechanical fuel injection in 1970, also VW 1600 E a few years before, what else ? Porsche 911 T 1973 , Jaguar XJ12 and many others before Delorean in 1981 ... that is for gasoline. Diesel engines had fuel injection from mid 20's ..... just read about it ...

  • posting naughty vids on youtube is a real feat

  • I personally knew Mr Delorean before he passed away ! He was so kind and a wonderful man! towards the end it was so sad

  • annoying accent

  • >He testified against the DEA for the set up and sting operation that tuck JD down but also turned him, Scotti, into a ´´persona non-grata`` in the circle. Latter on, the police claimed Gerald Scotti killed himself and his paralegal assistant (Barry) in a money dispute in another lawyers office. But probably no one knew or if knew did not mention, that Gerald at that time was investigating police corruption against one of his clients in Long Beach-CA. And then, DeLorean story became history!

  • I got to know the first DeLorean cars because I used to work at a Shop in California that did mechanical work on them in the eighties. Nice cars! Im just sorry for the short story of the DeLorean car and how JD in a moment of hopelessness was induced and framed by the DEA. I got to personally know Gerald Scotti, a DEA agent that became a known defense lawyer in Beverly Hills.>>

  • Hahaha I can tell this is from 10 years ago.

And that was so epic when the cameraman's car mirror was shown for a split second at 3:13

  • I've ridden in a Delorean before. I tell ya it's a blast! You sit low to the ground like a Vette but they're very comfortable. The suspension is very stiff. You feel everything on the road. They're not a fast car but fun to cruise in. Plus they get up to 28 mpg. Updates are available for these cars including suspension and performance upgrades. I'm a Delorean club member and been getting to hang around the owners and their cars. It's been a wonderful experience.

  • ive wathced bttc 123

  • Hey look it's running 88 miles per hour why don't the time traveling machine work???

  • The "time traveling machine"? Have you even SEEN Back to the Future?

    O_o

  • It makes one wonder what the dream would be if, well you know. but 35+ years later the dream lives on in the hearts of dreamers.

  • And in the new DMC company in Houston TX.

  • Right, I want one too. Anyone want to give me the 30k to buy one? (not begging or anything)

  • I don't make a lot of money and I have a family to take care of. One day I hope I can get enough money saved that I can buy a Delorean, new or used, doesn't matter to me. That and a Tucker would make my life! Both car companies told the big 3 where they could stick(shift) it.

  • me too!

  • killer music for a killer kar

  • After Back to the Future, every normal DeLorean just looks... naked... I want one though. Some day...

  • they still look cool for the exterior.

The interior looks horribly dated...kind of like a

    pontiac FIERO!!!

  • That's what makes them so cool!

  • yeah I agree, they are pretty cool. I'd still drive one.

  • It's a very famous movie car, duh!

  • I had a dream that I lived the dream...

  • ma stanles dream its gonna take only 52000 $ of savings to menifest = to about 30 years long time i know but i'll wait

  • Live The Dream

  • love this car.

  • The stock engine was a reanult 2.8 v6

  • doesnt ford put the 351 engine in the delorean

  • Your thinking of the Pantera. Delorean has 2.8liter V6.

  • oh

do the deloreans have a v8 option?

  • No. They were designed to be cool and for fuel mileage. However there was a twin turbo one that went 0-60 in 5.8 seconds.

  • did a certan motor company make them or were they there own thing?

  • The twin turbo prototype was designed by an independent company Legend Industries. They went out of business before the project came to production. Only 2 were built. Island Twin Turbo out of Jersey makes a twin turbo system for the Delorean. I sat in one a month ago with twin turbo set up. It was fantastic! Delorean Motor Company of TX also has a Stage 2 upgrade for the PRV engine that adds 70 more hp.

  • nice video of the DMC12

  • i love you dmc-12

  • BTTF

  • Stainless Steel is beautiful!

  • As a DeLorean owner, I can vouch for the fact that it is not made out of Aluminum. I know ignorance is bliss, but others ignorance is painful to those with knowledge ;)

  • how many miles to the gallon?

  • ~24 MPG.

  • o thanks

  • He should have made it for GM, then it would have been powerd by chevy, and might have made it better

  • Chevy haven't the class to do such elegant car (Have you seen the muscular corvette of that years)

  • Yes, i have. All im saying is that they should have used the corvette powertrain

  • i saw back to the future and fell in luv with it

  • where I can buy deloren in Europe???? How much it cost????????????

  • first it stainless steel not aluminum second it was a skin on top of a fiberglass substructure

  • you are an idiot the car is not made of aluminum its stainless steel thats why their so heavy watch the whole video before you talk

  • just because you dont watch the whole video and LISTEN to it before you comment there is very little aluminum in this car if any at all the body is stainless steel and the chassis is fibreglass. and i'm sure you are an absolutley briliant person i'm just saying watch the entire video before you comment on anything

  • No offense,I dont relly care what the video says. the DeLorean i saw in person was mostly aluminum, Plastic, And fiberglass. The video can say they were made out of solid gold. Doesn't mean they are. Although the one I saw may be a repro or a functional model. I do not know. I just go bye what I have seen, Not what the talking screen tells me.

  • if it was made of aluminum then it was a kit car and if you search around and ask around then you will find more than this video says its stainless

  • its actually made out of dead celebritys melted down teeth fillings...

  • thats awesome man now it makes sense

  • The fix for the crappy engine is to put a 350 Chev engine

  • That's exactly what I would do if I had money. Good post.

  • "Back to the future" hahahaaa!! first "de Lorean" is the argentine DOGO SS-2000 MADE IN 1970!!

IS DE LOREAN A COPY OF DOGO SS-2000 , YES ? NO ?

  • DeLorean: Got out of GM. Had a great idea, IMPORTED autos from outside the US (big no no), and was having sucess with a dream car. And soon he was found in the middle of a drug scandall. That's what you get when you kick some corporate mafia butt.

  • Nice video....Cheesy music...sounds like 80's porn.

  • I want to get a DeLorean in a few years, love those cars!

  • mine to <3

  • wheres the rest of the vid?

  • to love the delorean means to also be HONEST about the car and it's history. Cost over runs and reliability issues plaged the car at the outset. This raised the price to $25000.00that was alot of money in 1981. A corvette sold for $19,700.00. fixes were in line but it was to late. There was no money the plant was shut. the 1983 models weren't even finished. a few engineers and salesmen built the remaining cars which were then auctioned off somtimes at $10,000.00 below list. Still a great car.

  • Right on! Deloreans are awesome and with a few tweeks here and there, they can be even better. You can get a high performance engine for the Delorean with 197 hp vs the original 130 hp it had in 1981. The weak alternators can also be replaced with one up to 150 amps.

  • I love this car! :o

  • lol lispy staten island accent

  • 1:40, the prototype haha

  • The engine was used in V6 Volvos in the 70's and 80's. It's a 2.8 liter Peguot, Renault, Volvo. There is a Stage 3 prototype out by DMC of Houston. It has a turbo charged version of the Stage 2 engine. Horsepower ratings aren't out yet, but rumor has it that it's around 300 hp.

  • I own an '83 DeLorean. I used to deliver pizza with it a few years ago.

Very reliable. Just change the oil and maintain it. Like any other car. The engine is one of the most reliable in the world, it came in millions upon millions of european vehicles. Those of us with half a mechanical brain understand that a vehicle is just as reliable as it is maintained. It makes me happy to know such ignorance exists, easier for the intelligent to sign their paychecks.

  • 2 teh guy that sed they were unreliable, ur right. im 13- i dont own 1. i will, someday. anywho- remember in back to the future (my favorite movie) when it wudnt start wen mrty was trying 2 get the car bak 2 1985? prooves u rite! lol.

  • That was staged. They wanted Marty to have trouble starting the car.

  • He was out of plutonium to run the flux capacitor. Was the flux capacitor standard or an option?

  • o. i was tlkin about the end wen he was trying 2 get the delorean struck by lightning. he hit his hed on the horn 2 start it up. i tnk the flux capacitor is a aftermarket part, lol

  • Delorean's kick ass! Anyone who disses this car needs to take a second look. They would be very surprised.

  • Listen bud, I have 2 deloreans and maybe you should buy one and take a look. They are extreamly unreliable. Dont get me wrong i love deloreans but i'm not one of those DeLorean fanboys that will say "It's very reliable, it's a hell of a car"

  • So when it is running, what are they like to drive? Engine sound, handling? Ive always loved the looks of them, I mean really love the look, but what are they like to own?

  • dear newm3its

don't u dare badmouth the de lorean. It was the first car to take on design and safety, which was an engineneering marvel of the 20th century of automobiles, for those who tiss the car...eat shit and die!

  • guess what everyone??? dmc houston is going to make 20 more in 2008!!! the price is going to be aroud 57,500. that is definatly better than buying a jap car!! i just found that out. also, the 08s will have the original parts from the 80s besides an upgraded suspension, interior, and other stuff! tell your friends, lol!

  • Have you driven or owned one? Mine is my favorite to drive. I prefer it over my dad's Mustang and my mom's prius.

  • Deloreans are awesome and have so much potential. People need to give them a chance. Long live the Stainless Wonder! One of the greatest cars ever!

  • Its not Gray, (Gray is a last name, and part of a tv show) its grey. And its just plain stainless steel, unless you have found steel to come in other colors?

  • what an ugly car, no wonder why it didn't sell. did they realize there were other colors beside gray?

  • poor you, deloreans kick major butt

  • what do you mean "didn't sell". There were waiting lists for years. And they sold for more than $10,000 above sticker. Perhaps consider fact checking before spouting off at the mouth. Then maybe you could have a normal screen name as opposed to one that gets a rise out of people when your ignorance doesn't.

  • PhuckHue... Please PLEASE tell me you're only putting on an act. Please tell me you're only faking. If not, tell the Great Gazoo I said "what's up?".

  • what a cool car...

  • these people are talking about the design, but you should not forget the engineering. Apparently its not the most reliable car, now its being re-made in Texas, and the re productions can improve that. The design likeness depends on if you the find it pleasing or not. I think it is a futuristic looking car even today, in 2007, it looks like a spacecraft, and has sharp lines, has a very low profile, and has the gull wing doors, its also only a two seater,

  • do i hear a young donald trump? john delorean got fired!

  • it does look better in person, especially at night. I still think aesthetically it's the greatest car ever designed

  • It looks better with flux capacitor.

  • This car looks great. Like an Porsche 928 with edges :-)

  • i love the delorean

  • it´s a shit of car! theres no balance between his lines, a real waste! and inside is the ugliest car i ever seen...

  • You don't have to be so jealous of a sweet car.

  • A heavy bad bluit in design car.

  • DMC-12 is one the best looking cars ever! And with proper maintaince and a few updates it can be one hell of a car!

  • i know a friend who has a Delorean.I looks bad on computers. its sweet!

  • crapy car!!!!!

  • Ever since I watched Back to the Future...

  • The most beautiful car ever made. Shame it only was produced till 83

  • They're making them again in TX and CA. They will be built with all new parts. There is also a 197 horsepower Stage 2 engine upgrade with no turbo charging. They start out at $25.000 and go all they way up to $60.000. Check out Delorean dot com.

  • not quite. They don't exactly make new ones. They strip old ones down to the frame and rebuild it with all new parts.

No De Lorean frames have been made since the 80's, as the frame was from the Lotus Esprit (I believe it was the Esprit..). Lotus owns the molds, so no new frames. Just rebuilt upon old frames.

  • theres where your wrong they DO make brand new ones every part new because they made a new frame based on the old one only stronger

  • awsome, well back to the future is my fav movie....hehe

  • dmc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kicks ass

  • My friend has one of these, its such a sick car. You sit so damn low in the thing!

  • yo quiero un delorean es mi sueño T-T

  • if you think about it john delorean is like preston tucker. they both had a dream car ahead of there time and they both fell but still live on...

  • i want a car like that T_T

    it's my dream T_T

  • Have you got the rest of this program? please upload it if you do!

  • Shut up! The Car super, ST is necessary to me

  • oh yeah, the DMC DeLorean is da shit.

  • Hey. What is this sound track from?

  • Hello ... Sound track was part of a Production CD I borrowed from a Studio I was involved with over 10 yrs ago ... I haven't a clue, after all this time, what the name of the sound track song is ... but, it is from the early '90's ... Sorry.

  • It is very a pity ((( I would like to listen to this track in my DeLorean. But the question is opened.
