Just saying for you people who think this guitar is godly, you are very false. I own this guitar too, so I know what I'm talking about. It's a very good first 7 string guitar for beginners. But it's not that great. Schecter guitars top it 10x and a lot of ESPs do too. Along with any other Ibanez 7 string. Still a half ass decent guitar though. :]
@Zzrock4 Gibson is the only brand I've seen consistently fail every time, either from poor fret jobs, incomplete millwork (that they attempted to hide by painting over it). Either in the twenty years I've played guitar I've just been severely unlucky, or Gibson can throw their name on a broom handle and people will love it because it says Gibson on it. Ever seen an original Korina explorer's body split at the gluejoints because they didn't kiln the wood properly first? I have.
Ibanez pickups are TRASH! But, I believe this saves you money and you can put the money you save on there being trash pickups into choosing the replacement good pickups you want....
I got this guitar a little over a month ago. I LOVE IT! It's my first seven string and only took me 2 hours to get used to. Plus the rumor that Munky from KoRn used this model is awesome. I'm not changing the pickups. I love them, and I don't know how to change pickups anyways. Best. Guitar. I've. Ever. Owned!
@megaluisdeth Schecter .. the wood is shit. It just doesnt sound only thing good about it is EMG pickups as standart ... I am going to buy this one and put some BKP's into it ... and I have POD X3 but I can set it properly so it sounds good ...
@Octavarium666xyz It's good for the money. But I was comparing it to my friends schecter($680). What I meant about line 6 was the spider amps(sounds to digital).
But the Ibanez RG7321 7-String is good for the price. But I still prefer my friend's schecter over this.
@MrWiggerdale123 I've played few schecters and they just don't fit me ... my opinion is still that schecters have shity wood but good pickups ... I respect your opinion ;)
To be honest, your opinion might be more valid than mine, I've not owned many guitars, so it's not as if I've played Schecter's and Ibanez's on a regular basis, just my Westfield, haha. But when I was trying them out, perhaps the body wood on the Ibanez's is better (though I don't know how you tell that) but I have to say, the Rosewood on the fingerboards was preety cheap, looked like plastic.
@MrWiggerdale123 I bought 6 years old RG 7321 with intetion to upgrade it with Bare Knuckle Pickups, Hipshot bridge and better tunning system. Ibanez guitars are known for shity pickups :D ... but to be honest .. my first guitar was old JS Ibanez model so maybe that's why I like Ibanez most ;) And the neck on RG 7321 feels good for me .. maybe it's different from new models of RG 7321 ;)
The necks are alright, though I dunno, I feel as if I was expecting something super slim the way people go on about how good they are, haha, it just felt like any other neck, though I have to say the Schecter's I played were all fairly fat, the fattest being the Syn Custom which makes no sense. Tbh, I'm a classical guitarist, so a fat neck doesn't really affect me, meh, and I mean classical, not acoustic, haha
@MrWiggerdale123 Well the D shaped necked are better for me since I've never played classical( If I got it correctly you mean playing some barroco/renesaince "songs") but I've started right with electric guitar ... But to close this one :D Everyone has different demands of guitar ... I like Ibanez guitars because of shape and neck, zhe wood sounds good ;) ... sorry for my english, it's not my natural language and I haven't spoke to any native speaker for ages :)
a lil bit a tiny bit muddy for my taste but i love the crunch and bite to it has and yes IBANEZ over esp bc rich jackson even though i own bc rich jackson and ibanez haven't felt and heard the quality i want from any of those other guitars ibanez has it all well if u want to shred like a mutha fucker ibanez is the way to go schecter pssh please HOW EVER..... i do like their basses tone wise but again ibanez guitars and basses are the shit \m/(><)\m/
im about to go to guitar center myself in a few hrs actualy lmao. youtube helps me get my drooling done b4 i pick it up at the store. gotta keep it clean ya dig nice vid !!
@Eyeless1295music actually I don't know man, I have it too but with DiMarzio Blaze in bridge. Now I don't if it's the pickup, but it lacks low frequencies big time and kinda personality so to say. Maybe I'll upload a video with sound recorded directly into computer to get a better picture but I'd recommend you to check out other guitars too like LTD SC-207 or maybe Dean Guitars, I don't like Schecters tho.
I love my Rg7. Got it 3 years ago and put Seymour Duncan Full Shreds in it. Favorite guitar ever.

Recommend Ibanez over Gibson? I suggest consulting a doctor...

@metalblast1 Youre simply a metal player, and I would like to see some proof of genuine Gibson guitars "consistantly failing every time".

Muddiness is mostly due to stock pickups...

I have to say I was comparing the RG7321 and the Schecter Omen 7 Extreme the other day and the Schecter destroyed it.
