But to be honest you don't need that as long as you take your time with your work and put all the mixing levels right. Mirrorthrone has one of the best balanced levels with Metal & Symphony, unlike Betraying The Martyrs' "Breathe In Life"

the sweet sounding of classical insterments is heavenly, coupled with the stark contrast of the screams later in the song makes a great contrast showing its not a mellow song, but one of sadness and rage, a perfect fit for brutal legend, ophelia's mix feelings for eddie's betrayal(in her eyes) to her having this at the last fight against her was perfection in terms of themes and emotions, sometimes i really think the brutal legend story is built around some of these songs cus its uncanny
@xxdomoxxkunxx I agree with everything you said, I think the makers of the game made sure to make a game suitable to connect with the songs they choose, the designer even said he wanted to fuse together all elements of classical heavy metal genres, and how the album art would influence the looks of the environment of the whole game, from the landscape of the grass area to the metallic spider nests and the dark grim areas of the drowning doom area, really smart lol and thanks for the comment! =D

Just all sorts of real music. I highly suggest looking up the game on wikipedia and look at the "Development" section. Look at EVERY SONG... They're all just awesome.

I'll never stop listening to Unearth, Freya, Chimaira, xDEATHSTARx, etc. I think of those bands as hardcore thrash.

@vergil385 A lot of understand that there are people like yourself that like anything that sounds good to them but here's why some people, that were true to metal before metalcore and deathcore came into existence, despise it. It takes important aspects of metal and dumbs it down and changes it up into some distorted and unlikeable. For people new to it "omg! it sounds so heavy" Simply not true. There are also discrepancies having to do with musical talent. It is not nearly as skilled.

To hear examples of sweeping that is credible listen to Dying Fetus. Their ability to incorporate sweeping with music is superb.

Brutal legend ftw.... I was all about metalcore and other gay shit like that until I played that game and now I'm into REAL metal like mirrorthrone, testament, beneath the massacre... Just all sorts of real music. I highly suggest looking up the game on wikipedia and look at the "Development" section. Look at EVERY SONG... They're all just awesome.

@austinthefreak Yeah the game is awesome and it opened me up to much heavier and deeper metal, as well as older heavy metal and such, but hey man, Metalcore and Deathcore ain't gay, I personally love all kinds of music, wether it Metalcore, Death Metal, Black Metal, Doom Metal, Heavy Metal, Avant-Garde, Post-Hardcore, Trance, Electronica and anything that sounds good to me. Yes Metal is awesome and one of my fav genres, but don't downgrade other genres, just keep to your preferred music \M/

@austinthefreak haha awesome, and yeh theres many great bands you can find that are unique in the genres of metalcore and deathcore, just gotta look far enough to find some pretty awesome bands and if you want to hear some awesome Deathcore bands that are technical like Psycroptic or Meshuggah then I'd advice you to check out bands like Born Of Osiris, After The Burial, Veil Of Maya and of course the brutal Technical Deathcore band..."The Faceless" \M/

@vergil385 Yeah I love the faceless. You know there's a cross-genre of deathcore and brutal death metal? Look up the band Disfiguring the Goddess. Probably the loudest scariest band u will ever hear. And yeah there will always be metalcore bands I like... Like the ones that have a lot of thrash influences. I'll never stop listening to Unearth, Freya, Chimaira, xDEATHSTARx, etc. I think of those bands as hardcore thrash.

@austinthefreak awesome and I see, haha cool Ill check it out, you should check out the band "The Breathing Process" one of my favourite Deathcore bands since they have elements of Symphonic Black Metal with some Melodic Doom riffs and melodies and of course some really brutal deathcore elements that make them really unique, like Abigail Williams who are another great Blackened Deathcore band, their new album however is pure Black Metal. Cool if you like Unearth check out "The Sorrow" \M/

@vergil385 A lot of understand that there are people like yourself that like anything that sounds good to them but here's why some people, that were true to metal before metalcore and deathcore came into existence, despise it. It takes important aspects of metal and dumbs it down and changes it up into some distorted and unlikeable. For people new to it "omg! it sounds so heavy" Simply not true. There are also discrepancies having to do with musical talent. It is not nearly as skilled.

@DeathDuoCovers And that is why some people (including myself) disregard that sort of music. In my opinion at least it is a disgrace to the music that it drew its roots from. I wrestled a bear once is a perfect example, people always say they're so good because that they can sweep?.... Those guys couldn't sweep to impress me if they've tried. To hear examples of sweeping that is credible listen to Dying Fetus. Their ability to incorporate sweeping with music is superb.

the reason core bands are different is because they want to blend a perfect mix of hardcore punk, and if it wasnt for punk, metal wouldnt have even existed so I find it funny and ironic when metalheads hate on punk when it was thanks to old punk and rock n roll that metal exists this day =P also if you're looking for the top ranged "core" metal bands, just look at The Black Dahlia Murder, August Burns Red, Veil Of Maya, After The Burial, Born Of Osiris, and others alike

as for the heaviness, metal bands use the same kind of aspects, death metal uses its demonic screams and growls and double bass drums as well as the fast sweeping guitars and such as that, but honestly its been done before many many times, some bands do it differently, but heaviness isnt really a big thing, even hardstyle dance music can be heavy due to its bass beats and kick & bass, as for talent, theres talen in every genre, but I enjoy music freely as I said, music = expression & fun

@agentno923 If you read the conversation I had, you would understand the point I was making. When metalcore originated, it was very original and thrash-oriented which made it really cool. But when melodic metalcore grew popular, the genre evolved into a punk genre. Many post-hardcore bands have gotten away with being called metalcore now. I mean just listen to how it has evolved for yourself. Metalcore used to be Freya, Unearth, and Earth Crisis. Now it's Underoath and Black Viel Brides

@AtheistProphet2010 lol well I think Vladimir Cochet (since thats the one guy who made this band, its a one man project) used drum reprogramming as in he didnt really drum, he used the drum sounds from his music program, however I do know that he did the vocals, lead and rhythm guitars and bass.

@Xalix181 Thanks and sure, the effect you're looking for is in the Movie maker program, just right click the video you want to edit in the timeline and select video effects and choose the old film effect, forgot the name lol but yeh check around. As for the light effect, just use fade to white or fade out to white, hope I helped xD and thanks again for checking my vid^^ I agree, Vladimir Cochet is epic!
