Recovery was good, Relaspe was bad. Most people who say recovery is wack only heard Love the Way you Lie, and Not Afraid even though I like that song.

Eminem was straight forward, but Jays lyrics have more depth. Think of it like Em just knifed you, a quick death, but Jay made you swallow some poison with your drink, still killing you but a lot slower and more painful then Jay. Both still killed it but in their own style.

You can kind of tell that Jay-Z tried to match Eminem's vast rhyme skill, but Jay-Z's style is more dependent on puns, metaphors, and clever lines on street life as opposed to Eminem's use of overwhelming rhyme skill.
If I had to choose who was better, I would say Eminem, though Eminem is not spitting poetry on street life, what he is saying is still real, and his take on the music industries opinion of him. Plus his rhyme skills are clearly more apparent, and he rides the beat much smoother.

Eminem was straight forward, but Jays lyrics have more depth. Think of it like Em just knifed you, a quick death, but Jay made you swallow some poison with your drink, still killing you but a lot slower and more painful then Jay. Both still killed it but in their own style.

You can kind of tell that Jay-Z tried to match Eminem's vast rhyme skill, but Jay-Z's style is more dependent on puns, metaphors, and clever lines on street life as opposed to Eminem's use of overwhelming rhyme skill.
If I had to choose who was better, I would say Eminem, though Eminem is not spitting poetry on street life, what he is saying is still real, and his take on the music industries opinion of him. Plus his rhyme skills are clearly more apparent, and he rides the beat much smoother.
