  • i got a sony v1u an im having trouble exporting... think you can help me out??

  • This is probably too late to ask but: Did you shoot on miniDV or HDV tapes, and what capture presets did you use to digitise this footage in presumably on FCP? thanks.

  • shutter speed did you use when throwing the chair?

  • what did you use to deintarlace the footage?

  • Hi, do you know if this camera has nightmode? If not any idea of some good ones???

  • @Hatch3tTV yes it has Nightshot which gives you the green night shoot look and works very well I've found.

  • good job! good test! very interesting

  • How the heck do you get the shots onto the computer, I use sony vegas 9, but the quality is shit when I capture video :s

  • I have for sale 1 SONY V1e brand new

    and a VX2000 (NTSC)

also have for each of then a CENTURY wide angle

  • how much?

  • I wish I had this camera :( Im stuck with a, Sony Handycam...SR-35 ;'( Oh well, I'll have something like this in the future.

Is it 3CCD? And is the zoom fast? Without using the ring.

  • Hi moviesunrated. It's not 3CCD, it's 3CMOS. There are 3 ways that you can zoom on the camera. Buttons on the handle, buttons on the side grip and the ring. The handle is one speed, the grip can be adjusted by how far down you press the buttons but once you start using the camera it feels better with the rings, I'm sure you'd end up using that for the mostpart. You can also remotely control the zoom with the camera remote

  • @ZyloProductions So whats the difference between 3CCD and 3CMOS?

  • Is HVR-V1 better then DSR-PD175??? As I saw the only difference is that V1 has HDV and PD175 doesnt. Which one you recommend?

  • I'm afraid I have no experience with the DSR-PD175 but personally I prefer working in the HDV format. It depends on what you're shooting and for what purpose. Detailed descriptions of the difference in the formats can be found with a simple google search as it is much debated!

  • @ZyloProductions

well, im looking to buy one for wedding parties and club parties.. do you recommend it for that? And one more question, does it have manual zoom and manual focus on rings (seperated)?

  • Yes I can definitely recommend it for those applications, and yes it does have separate manual zoom and focus rings

  • @ZyloProductions

    Thank you very much.

  • Thanks Zylo, that was very useful - are you still happy with your camera 3 months on?

  • Hey Yabeebay. I'm definitely still very happy with the camera, the performance is consistently good and once you get the hang of it it's a very easy and satisfying piece of equipment to use. It has my recommendation

  • CLARITY!

  • reminds me of brighton ^^

I love the spyderweb shoot when the focus is on it and their is a lot of bokhe in the back, a very nice macro

  • i like your video, and i have 2 questions :)

have you changed the lens of the camera to get that shots with the bluriness?

is that a shot of 24fps?

  • No it's called 'selective focus'
