Some people said Ocala is great, some people said Ocala is boring and a dump... what a contradictory point of view. What is the true?... really, I wanna know more about Ocala.

@negonzalez Some parts are good, like the square. We go to the square every year around christmas for "light up ocala" which is really great. I remember when I was little my mom would take me and any time we was in town at night she would drive through so I could see the lights. :) But there ARE some spots that are pretty run down and dirty looking..but not TOO many. If you want to live here there are plenty of clean neighborhoods. We live in a great neighborhood. :)

I love Ocala, because you can go fishing and go camping in the ocala national forrest.. ooh and one more thing, houses are cheap here and no city tax. try doing that in the big cities..

I grew up in Ocala-- I still know the place like the back of my hand. I now live in the blue ridge foothills in SC. The happiest memory of my life was in 1994 when I was on I-95 N crossing into GA and I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the FL state line getting smaller. I came back once in 2007 for my 20th H.S. reunion (Vanguard). Ocala is a dump!

My wife and I moved to Ocala from Connecticut this year. We think Ocala is a great place to live. Great job on the video.

I got peepz that live up there, and they been there their entire lives and they love it. Shoot My mom's Decked out of Ocala, gave the city the finger and hightailed it down 75 to Tampa for a better life. lol

wow, I was born and raised for the first 7 years of my life in Ocala, and I can't remember ANYTHING. I can only remember MRMC, of course the hospital I was born in and Lake Diamond, were I lived. Thanks sirgiant!

I met my Girlfriend at the Paddock Mall last Friday, and we played mini golf across the way at a family fun center and the went to applebee's for dinner, its a nice little area.

Ocala is a retirement community. If you dont have money when you move there, you wont make it. I liked the town itself but jobs are horrendus unless you want to work as a construction laborer for 9 bucks an hour

Enjoy being rent poor and working round the clock to afford the ridiculously high-priced Northeast. I suppose it all depends on what you want from life. Personally, I can't wait to leave this region and never look back.
