@GreenMeanie101 AMEN ! after years of tinkering with all flavors of linux and bsd variants, it has become clear to me that *nix* should stay in the server world. it has no place on the desktop. after 20 + years it is still not ready for primetime and probably never will be. hardware issues, etc. useless slackbuilds, kernel recompiles, hdmi sound issues.. i'm too old. it's too much fucking work
Thanks gxbsd. I've just verified that this also works on FreeBSD 9-CURRENT (as of May 2011) and with Firefox 4.

I don't see the point, why not just install Linux instead of installing Linux inside of BSD to get a working desktop.
If you have to install the Linux kernel then it's not true BSD. x11 is crap
