  • This needs some dramatic music to make it complete.

  • I was just born and I already killed more siblings than you ever will in your life time.

  • Fascinating, a bird so young can be capable of such violence of something that poses absolutely no threat whatsoever.

  • @mmdurfee That's not violence, that's hunger. My guess is that they removed the hen and waited for that shot to prove a point that it happens.

    But it's just a guess.

  • @mmdurfee It does pose a threat: it competes for food and thus challenges its very adolescent survival.

  • You probably thought that sibling was dead....NOPE Chuck Testa!.........oh god i've fallen low....

  • horrible

  • its not dead?

  • one day these chicks may be used to peck at victims of natural disasters

  • Damn, and I thought European cuckoo chicks were nasty.

  • oh my god! it's cruelty to animals!! We must burn this mofo!

  • And the scientists just fucken watched ........while a blindless chick thought that the fost chick was his treat !

  • @TheHtjohn actually, if you read the article, you'd learn that the chick that was attacking the other is called a honeyguide. the mothers of that species lay their eggs in the nests of other bird species (hence the "foster siblings"), and their chicks will kill the other non-honeyguide chicks in the nest within an hour of hatching.

it's nature dude, we can't go around stopping every animal from killing other animals.

  • who thought little babies can be so evil ? or maybe its just nature !

  • Who starved that poor bird? Sick.

  • amillionmonkeys.blog.com are you curious enough?

  • DONT TOUCH MY DRUM SET

  • @payasoinfeliz I'M PUTTING MY BALLS ON IT!

  • Chick fight!

  • hmm, didn't look like the chick getting attacked was killed at the end of the clip

  • It looked like it didn't have eyes yet, so maybe it confused its sibling for a threat.

  • eeeewh thats disgusting :D

  • Birds might come from dinosaurs + Individuals go through the evolution from cell to bird/human//what ever as we are conceived = Its a mini raptor! :O

  • Come on, you have to click not one but two links to get to the full article? Still worth reading, but really?

  • survival of the most bad ass.

  • I choose you, honeyguide!

    Use bite, honeyguide!

  • Once again, I'm reminded humans aren't the only violent animal.

  • Horrible. It's not mindless gobbling, mistaking its sibling for food; it stops the attack when the victim is dead.

  • I was having a good day you know? I thought maybe I could sip some coffee and get some fine education you know? Then this came up and now I'm sad. What the hell man?

  • @Sloomification lol

  • poop. dick. balls.

  • for science...

  • Someone please slow this down and put godzilla noises and a horror soundtrack,

  • O'Doyle RULES!

  • snooga snooga snooga...Jimmy...... Jimmy...JIMMY!!!

  • Dayum, nature, you scary!

  • Yet another of those no-content "please follow the link if you want to know what the hell is going on" videos.

  • i for one welcome our frat/sororicidal overlords

  • Nature, thou art a cruel mistress.

  • now this is the kinda science we subscribed for!

  • Its actually did not kill him, he was just grabbing him to get him under and protect him from that ANT!

  • :(

  • THAT IS MING!!!

  • jesus if those birds lived near me i'd be getting the old 12 gauge out.

  • But will it blend, that is the question

  • This chick is as violent as my one back at home...
