However, they do fight each other a lot for territory, food, and to protect cubs. Simply put, tigers are more massively build everywhere with muscles than the lion. But even with that, their hindlegs are much much stronger than the lions. Tigers are very agile, capable of fighting with both paws at once. Lions can only fight with one since their back legs are too weak to support the rest of their weight. It does appear faster as well. Lions can only run 35mph, but there is a video where a tiger runs down an ostrich estimated over 40 mph. Tigers are more agile.

First off, the lion was a male and the tiger he killed was a female.
Second off, the lion outweighed the tiger by 45 pounds.
Third off and most importantly, when the female tiger that was 45 pounds underweight jumped into the trench, she made an awkward landing and possibly fractured her legs. The male lion was already there and made an easy kill off her.
I prefer the tiger, but am not being biased when everything i type can be backed up by evidence when most of your stuff is opinion. If a male lion loses a fight, he can run away and hunt for himself. Not preferred by them, but they can survive like that. Tigers however require killing each other more because their habitat is much more destroyed and small than lions in Africa. If a tiger loses a fight, they don't get any territory and will probably die. Lions can run away, they have the whole of Africa. Also, lions end fights with intimidation usually. No, percentage wise of all tigers dead naturally in the wild, it is 20-25% of them. It is not a percentage of tigers who are killed that fight, but that are killed in total from fighting. Off all dead lions, it is estimated less than 5% are killed from fighting each other.
Tigers are stronger, bigger AND more experienced. Don't believe me, just look at Roman documents. Every expert says the tiger buttraped the lion back then.

Simply put, tigers are more massively build everywhere with muscles than the lion. But even with that, their hindlegs are much much stronger than the lions. Tigers are very agile, capable of fighting with both paws at once. Lions can only fight with one since their back legs are too weak to support the rest of their weight. It does appear faster as well. Lions can only run 35mph, but there is a video where a tiger runs down an ostrich estimated over 40 mph. Tigers are more agile.

Second off, the lion outweighed the tiger by 45 pounds.

1) Tigers have not been proven better fighters. But neither have lions, that is opinion. Expert opinion however, is that tigers fight better because they are more agile, quick, and use both of their front paws simultaneously while lions can only swing with one.
2) Tigers fight to the death more than lions do, i have already proven that to you.

It stood back up every quickly because of adrenaline. An adrenaline rush really numbs the senses and pain.
Also, things don't get something for nothing. While the mane benefits the lion in getting females, and may give a little protection in a fight, it's drawbacks is that it generates a lot of heat. Thermal images show that it does. The bigger the mane, the more heat it would generate.

If a male lion loses a fight, he can run away and hunt for himself. Not preferred by them, but they can survive like that. Tigers however require killing each other more because their habitat is much more destroyed and small than lions in Africa. If a tiger loses a fight, they don't get any territory and will probably die. Lions can run away, they have the whole of Africa. Also, lions end fights with intimidation usually. Seidensticker says 20-25% of tigers killed by fighting

I never said that lions never fought. I said they almost never fight to the death, which is exactly what your videos showed. Just 2 paw swipes and they stopped fighting. When a tiger fights, he means business, a lot of times fighting to the death. The fights you posted showed no serious injuries at all, except the last one kinda showed some injuries-but that was just one lion getting gangbanged. Tigers fight to the death much more. Tigers fur is much thinner than lions overall. This makes it much easier for any tiny scar on a lion to be evident. Scars on tigers are concealed under thicker and more striped/intricate fur.

In the Sundarbans region of India and Bangladesh, the tiger's prey are chital (axis deer), wild boar, and monkeys. Tigers will sometimes attack porcupines.
